Thanks Jess and Poobah,
I called one Ramada in SLC and don't know it it was the right one but they have wifi so no router needed. COOL They didn't know about the other Ramada's in the area though so will wing it.

Most of the good motels are going wireless now so you shouldn't have a problem with staying at a "quality" motel. If one Ramada has it, the others ought to also.

But I was thinking of Watkins Shepard, as the post on this forum are more positive than the others and Covenant seems to be very negative so thats out.

I will still be on this thread as I really like you guys - you make me laugh.
I'd go with Watkins, they have a real good record & real positive thread going on here to get info from.

It seemed as though they were barely giving him the miles he needed to keep up his truck payments. He was getting worried that this might be a sign of the economic times, but wasn't sure. I would love to ride with him, but if this is a wide spread issue with the lack of good loads, then maybe it wouldn't be a good thing to do. He would be given loads to pick up with long dead heads - 400 or 600 miles, or he would be given short ones with lots of time on them. Is anyone else sharing the same issues? It would be nice to hear some comments not just because of me, but for his own sanity as well.
Sounds like a bad FM if you ask me. If you two went team I'm sure miles would get a lot better, the whole industry is moving towards running teams so they have lots of team loads. The teams here at Central are pretty happy from what I know, I don't talk to to many because they are to busy rolling down the road.

ive done that run a couple oftimes from johnson ville to garden city thats a good little run they tried to give that run to me wed but i had hometime just be careful going thru kingman on the 54/ 400 that town is a speed trap they nailed me 2 weeks ago 47 in a 30 going east the limit changed to 40 then in another 50 feet 30 mph not enought distance to slow completely if your running 62 with 42000 behind you going down hill and the cops know it so be careful.

Hope my GPS is good cause pulling up google maps somehow involves a uturn. Been there, done that, got the tshirt, won't say how much it cost. lol

What are ya'll governed at? Might want to get in on this race myself with my KW T600.

qwkmouse, Don't know what to tell you about the miles. Seems to depend on the company, the driver manager (or whatever their called where he works at), what he pulls etc. I've got a new DM in my company who is new to the business, and is not jaded about it yet. He seems to be looking out for his fleet and know he is looking out for me!!! HE ROCKS!!!!! Made sure I told him that too.

ibad-am doing my own version of the 12 oz curls at the moment. Probably won't drink quite as much as you since i got up at 0200 and am on the tired side at the moment.

Did I mention my DM rocks? I sent in my 001 (load commitment) for this load and damn if he didn't send me a preplan. Will be heading towards where Brinkman is at after I drop. I just love Holcomb, KS. (please note sarcasm)
cheers panhandle i actually love holcomb myself after living in the atlanta area my whole life i have really grown fond of the small towns on the plains and i would really consider relocating there people are really nice and i think it would be a good place to raise a family lots of cattle to haul

the ramada that central uses is the airport remada they have 2 computers for guests to use i do not know about the router. they have a really ggood resturant there and a bar but stay away from the bar if you are cought in it they will send you home on the spot they have people watching to see if students or drivers go in it. it doesnt matter if you dont drink if you go in for a coke or pepsi or even just to shoot pool your going home. they also have a swimming pool and workout room. its a really nice place hope this helps
