Who is the best recruiter at central to talk to?

Being out with a trainer is totally different then the school!!

A friend has a student at the moment and the student thought he would be able to drive when he felt like it The Student didn't want to drive in any of the bigger cities, or in heavy traffic. and totally freaks in traffic, dunno how he thought he was going to go through Atlanta, NY or somewhere like that.

His big test today was Denver and it was also his last chance to stay training!

Some students just don't know what there getting into!

I'm perfectly fine in tight spaces and traffic, it comes with the territory. I have never driven a tractor trailer, but I consistently tow boats that are in the 30' range...overall length is in the neighborhood of 50'-55'...plus the pivot point is much further back than a semi. I don't think I'll have (m)any issues with driving, turning or backing as I'm pretty used to long, wide (9'+ sometimes) vehicles as it is. =)

Wow, didn't said student do some research on trucking before going to school?

It sounds like this student has a highly strung personality which does not equate well with trucking. Your trainer friend must be freakin also when the student is driving!

JW tried to call Sarah earlier as i heard her recommended before (maybe by you), will try her again later. What flipped your decision to central? Was it chance of more miles with reefers?

The student is 21 and pretty immature from my understanding!!

I haven't heard how the Denver thing went this morning for the students sake I hope he stepped up.......He is in his second week of training and doesn't seem to be motivated to drive unless its on the Interstate and traffic is light!!

The student is supposed to do 75% of the driving, the first week the truck is pretty much ran as a Solo truck and then if the student is getting it, the miles are stepped up to around 3800 4200 in the second week.

3rd and 4Th weeks the truck is pretty much ran as a slow team truck 4000-5000, depending on the trainer. Some will run there students much harder and are only in it for the extra miles.

Finally ....I have been saying the same thing forever.....lol...unbeleivable that you can have a 73 in sleeper and no storage..

Hey guys. Could you all give me a little bit of insight as to how long the CDL written test is? Is it 100 questions, or much shorter/longer? I've been studying over my CDL Handbook PDF before I even send my app into them (recruiter Ryan sent me an app with his name stamped on it). I've resulted to taking the section questions from the book that would pertain to me (no passenger or hazmat stuff), pasting them onto a document and answering them over and over.

Also, I know I don't drive yet, but I have a pretty general idea as to what it's like out there on the road (my uncle used to drive, so I've ridden with him a lot, and I go on 8+ hour trips frequently in my car). So this student you guys are talking about, when he goes out alone (if he makes it that far) will be just that... ALONE. He needs to get over sucking that bottle and put a big boy cup in his mouth.
