You going to be our dispatcher and broker Jess or you going to ride, boldy, ride with JJ?

JW430 I can understand about the job hopping bit. I was at my last job longer than you've been around so a hopper I'm not. I also know tho, I will never stay at a job again that I am not happy with.

Dunno yet! if and when it happens I think I will go out on the odd trip I would get to bored at home!

I understand not staying at a job you don't like, that's why I'm willing to give it time to find the right one and why I'm not just jumping on the Central bandwagon. You gotta be happy, otherwise what else do you have?

I'm in a really nice motel and have a room, with the window looking right at the pool. Where in the heck is all the bikini clad babes at? lol

JJ get out when they were offering early retirement? Would have liked to retire from the army myself but after 7 yrs, they had started the UA program and well......drugs were more important to my life at that time and for a looooooooong time after. Course now that I'm older and have the benefit of 20/20 hindsight............

Drugs are something of a mystery to me, and I don't plan on finding out much about them from a first-hand perspective, although I have had some experiences with "gateway" drugs, none of which I liked very much after the initial high went away...or in the case of marijuana, not at all during either. I'm not a drug-oriented person, I can't see myself ever trying any of it again. I don't like getting drunk either. About the only thing I like is my cigarettes and even those are not on my good side most of the time (they are cruel before, the best thing during, and hated after...I guess it's like angry sex). I like my own perception, thank you.

TWIC would also probably be a nice thing to have. Now if they would only consolidate the hazmat and TWIC into one.....

However, my brother suggested a good idea while talking with him tonight. He suggested that instead of putting in my 2 weeks here, that I ask for a leave of absence/vacation time, since I haven't had that yet this year, and head to the school on schedule. If everything works out at the school during that time, I could then release my employment here and continue there. This way, in case anything should go wrong at the school and they want to send me home before I terminate my position here, I'm not out of a job. I'm pretty positive there wont be anything wrong, but I guess it's better to be safe than sorry after hearing some horror stories about people being sent home for no reason (is that necessarily true? what exactly would be the cause for such action?). What do you guys think?

I quit a very good job so I could go to Swift . They of coarse lied and just hired 2 people out of 28. I was then out a good job and now am still paying for that move.
