AMEN on that dude. I smoke, but less than a pack a day at most, and often don't smoke for a day or two when things are going smooth or such.
Kinda why I took the Smokr name! Friends teased me about how I don't smoke some days and pretty soon the nickname stuck, lol.
I can handle a bit of smoke smell, or a bit of doggie smell, so long as it isn't reeky!

Trying to get back to WVC to upgrade, currently stuck at Basselmans in Grand Island, NE due to the 80 closure at North Platte. Pretty much standing room only here.

Haha, thats perty funny man. I got a little head start in that my 46' plymouth is an unsyncronized 3-spd. So I got the double clutchin' down to a science. Of course its 3 on the tree! I used to have a 47 dodge p/u and I had a buddy that let me drive his 28' ford on the floor. Anyhow, this will probably be my last post for awhile as I will not have a computer during training or on the road for awhile (assuming that I make it past the first day) But, Im a go on and get it type of fella and have only good expectations at this point. So, thanks to everyone that has posted on here and big thanks to 1bad for showing me around at conley! So wish me luck, Ill be on the plane at 1345 tomorrow. I look forward to meeting all of yall in person and being a gear jammin fool.
    Thanks again___B.L.

Dang, you've had some nice driving experiences! We can spend some time chatting about cars I guess!
Don't worry, if you wanna use my laptop to post at school you got it. We'll probably do a school log as well, just to share our experiences and let future noobs have an idea what to expect when it's their turn!
Thanks to everyone who's answered our noobie questions and shown us that CRS is the way to go.
Look forward to sandwiches and soda (hate coffee) with all you folks out there on the highways!

Man, I was told I cant drive today until cleared by the Dr. They found out about my injury I suffered last wk and now Im basically stuck. I have mixed feelings atm. On one hand I just want to say whatever it takes for the Dr to clear me so I can drive. On the other hand what if I actually hurt myself and need a helping hand from the Dr.

I know if they say I cant work for a certain period of time they will unseat me from my truck. That would suck, I like it here. My dm and load planner rock

Physically I am not the same as before the accident. Concussions are not to be taken lightly. It is probably my 8-12th (I know of 8 times min. I suffered one, probably more)

Dont know what im going to do. probably wont until I see a doctor.

opinions?? know anyone who went through something medical at central?
If I have to take time off cause of this will I still have a job when I get better?

Parked next to a Heartland truck in Mt. Vernon, MO. Wonde if its Chromedome? Should be almost to Columbus, OH by tonight.
Jess, laundry? Tell me it aint so. I just let mine go till they all stand in a corner. hehehe JK. Finally got a shower last night and feel 100 per cent better. Hate those waits at meat plants with no truck stops close by.

    Nope.
At home for the weekend, well at least till Sunday afternoon.
I have a load on to deliver in Southeastern PA at 0700 Monday.
Figure I will run it down Sunday so that I will have a full set of hours to run Monday.
Hopefully it will not bite me in the rear like last week.
In Columbus they do not have much freight move till afternoons on Monday, and they are all overnight runs. Since I will not be there I am hopeing to get a day run for monday.
Last week I left home and ran my load down Sunday, then had to sit and wait for a 2100 load time Monday night. Which set me up to run nights all week.
