I picked up a Cobra CIP1575 for a $103 for CowboyJJ from a shop up in WA, there around 170 at the truck stops, watch the shipping that is where you will get the hit at... Just google the Cobra part # will give you a list of stores that have them for a descent cost.. From what CowboyJJ told me that one everyone likes and can handle all the accessories...

F.Y.I.
just so any of u know, 2000 watts is equivelant to a 20 amp household circuit so anyone running a 2000 watt inverter should have no problems running mutiple things at once, trust me i was an electrician in a former life lmao. well as for other news, ive decided its time to go and lease my own truck and hopefully start training. ive been seeing to many new guys out there that just dont get a fair start because the trainer they get is just concerned about miles so i as little as it maybe am going to throw my hat in the ring and try to pass on the things i have been taught. my trainer, who later hired me on to be his co-driver, made sure i was taught right and i figure that i should pay it forward. hope everyone is being safe and hope 1bad makes it home soon. i know how it is being away for a long time well thats all for now see ya all somewhere down the road.

Just got off the phone with Volvo, they say they totally took the dash apart & traced the wiring all the back past the motor to the batteries & found nothing wrong with the wiper system. That's it, I'm done with that truck. I'm getting back to WVC & dumping that thing in the yard & not going anywhere until I get a new one.

Wolfden, If you out there will a 1500 inverter run one or two things at a time? Looking to run a cpap machine and charge a cell phone thats all for now will upgrade later as we acumalte things for 1bad's truck.
Oh yea one more thing anyone have a mini fridge (dorm size) in their truck? If so, what inverter do you use?
Sorry for all the questions just trying to get 1bad ready to roll back out on Sunday!

Dorm size fridge will not fit in the truck unless they take out the drivers side cabnet. Same as they do with them when they install a truck spec one.
On the radio. Go with the Cobra 29 LTD, Classic.
It is a really good radio for the money. Has a few more functions than the 25 and talks nice and clear.
It can be a regular one, or they have Chrome and Black Chrome models, for a little more money. I have a rather expencive radio that I use every day, but I always keep a 29 in the truck as a backup. You should be able to find one for around 100 bucks or less.

1500 watt inverter will run a cpap machine and a cell charger at the same time no problem 1500 watts is eqivelant to 15 amps or roughly 9 household plugs the average device uses approx 3 amps of power a refrigerator will use between 7.5 and 12 depending on the size so he should have no problem with what ever u choose to use
