Well I'm at home.. Just had some turkey burgers and budweiser.. Oh yeah.. I got a sweet deal today.. an elite 360, 120gig hd, forza 3 and halo 3.. Free xbox gold membership.... 299.99.. A awesome deal.. I got a new rod and reel to.. So I'm pretty happy.. I should leave out friday and get in some miles b4 weds...

My DM was Rita, but I guess they got rid of her last week, it is now Stewart. His communication is worse than hers! I think he is just doing her drivers until Conley hires another DM. I saw they are advertising for that position in the help wanted ads. Since January I have only had two weeks above 2k miles! The rest are all right around 1200 to 1500 with a couple below a thousand! I stay out for at least 4 weeks at a time but it doesn't seem to be doing any good. I might go talk with Cole when I get back to Conley. Might just wait and see what happens this next 4 weeks.

after my 01 I went to scale at the peterbuilt TS in Champlain NY. I think the guy at the fuel desk was messing with me... but i got my revenge... I drive on the scale and go through the dialog with him and pull up off the scale so another driver can use it. I go in and he tells me that I am blocking the scale and can I move my truck.

I tell him that I am just getting my scale ticket by the time i get the ticket and another driver is on the scale, ill be gone. But he still makes me move. I go inside to get my ticket and he says that there is an extra $1 charge for using a credit card. Ok thats fine, im not using a credit card... he looks at it and says "oh its a comdata card" he processes the payment and says that comdata wont accept the code for the extra dollar. WTF!!!!

I feigned like i left my wallet in the truck and dug out $1 in pennies and brought it in...
"he asks me if i have a dollar bill. I said no all I have is a $100 bill then he starts counting the pennies. I wasnt in a hurry, my load is 920 miles delivers 4/9 and its a drop so I can be there anytime. I started talking to the guy asking all kinds of questions just so he loses track of the pennies. Meanwhile the line behind me was gathering!

I think the guy at my 01 might have been new at loading trucks... i got my scale ticket and it came out to 11920, about 28000 and 35000. How the hell did he load this?!?!? So now my tandems are back at the illinois limit at 42.5 ft.
This is just a in gengeral message to all the central drivers.

That paper central provides us with out of the handbook for kingpin lengths is incorrect about 7 states.

First off I pulled these from the rand mcnaley or however u spell it map book and double checked by calling the DOT in the according states so here are the states that r wrong on the central paper.

Georgia - No Kingpin Length Law
Illinois - No Kingpin Length Law
Maryland - says None but is actually 41 KCRA
    Michigan - 41' KCRA
    New York - 43' KCRA
    South Carolina - 41' KCRA
Vermont - No Kingpin Length Law

I know getting rid of IL helps me out a lot sometimes.

Well 6 days till I'm supposed to be back home in NORCAL and they r sending me to TX so crossing my fingers.

    Stay safe out there

The funniest thing i heard today came from a swift driver on the other side of the highway. Apparently there was a heavy hauler, and swift was trying to pass him with about 6 other trucks behind them. I assume the heavy hauler told swift he could come over and swift replied "But I'm not getting off yet". I couldnt stop laughing for about 30 miles.

Well JJ, be sure and let me know how things work out with whomever you go to work for. Am/was hoping to stick with my company for 2 years and then find a quality company that actually cares about their drivers but.......am just so effing disgusted at the moment!!!
Brother wants me to come home and work with him and become a coowner in his business and am giving it semi-serious thought. He has his own geotech business and is doing ok at the moment. I have money I could invest in it and be able to expand his business and with my CDL, he could eventually buy a bigger rig but dang.....talk about a dirty business that operates in all kinds of weather!!!

I am just ready to see you in the seat.
You are here all the time. You know more info on the industry than many truckers. Now you just have to live it.
    Good luck.
    Note my last post.
Big Brown is hireing rookies. Check your area.

In Des Moines IA for the night, heading to Springfield MO then Joplin.

Was pulling into a t/s earlier today. As I was pulling into the lot the supertruckers were berating a swifty on his backing inabilaties over the radio. Swifty was offering up all sorts of excuses for taking so long to park. As this was going on I found the swift truck and backed in next to him in one shot while the radio chatter continued. When I was done I heard over the radio "hey swift, did you see how central parked?" Swift replied that he did not, so supertrucker replied "that's because it didn't take him a f%#ing hour to do it!"

Well i put in apps with Cargo express, Motor west which are both out of my area one is located in boise the other in caldwell and also National carriers. i have not heard from national or motor west i called Cargo and then went in and got paper work and did a pre employment drug screen and will be attending the orientation on monday that is if something else comes through which i doubt.

So if i make it out of orientation, a road test and physical then by wed i will be back out on the big road.

to give you a little knowledge that i have on cargo express is they are a small company attached to navajo. their terminal is out of Boise ID they have t600's and 9400 internationals mostly white with either green or orange trim not the best looking equipment but it gets the job done. they do seem a little old but very well maintained maint wise. I am hoping for the T600 but as a company Driver it will be the luck of the draw and whatever truck i get ill take a pick of it and add it to my photos here on the forum . you can have riders and pets but i dont have the specifics as of yet i will be able to fill you in more after monday. they pull the navajo trailers and utilize their terminals and drop yards. about 90% drop and hook.

they do have qualcomms but i still think they are paper which is good because i would hate to be paperless again. well i guess i have been long winded enough, i am just excited to drive again and i think jess is even more excited than i am i just hope it works out. soo JJ will be a truckin again.
