Jash, make sure you remember that while our company hires 5200 people per year, I guarantee that 1200 of them won't even be in the trucking industry after that year and less than a quarter will still be driving for our Government Funded CDL Mill that we call home.....lol.

I only base that on the number of happy truckers I talk to that say with a chuckle, "Yeah, I drove for them and then I got smart."

Yo 2 Fast...
Got you by 3 years.
After spending 38 years in the airline industry, in non supervisory mgt, I find if you have a problem or a suggestion, put it in writing. That gives you a paper trail and a chance that maybe someone will act on it beside toss it in the trash.

I wouldn't be so quick to bounce around on a disagreement from just speaking with a couple of people. I have to be totally dissatified with the company's upper mgmt response before I make a move. Well good luck with your new gig boss!
What pros? If you made it throu your first yr then according to most you are a pro. The one word of wisdom I live by since becomming a trucker is this. "When you think you finally know it all, when it comes to driving a truck then it is time to quit, because your now a danager to everyone else."

Drivers are always held accountable. Admin people "claim accountability".
If there is any (accountability) it is strictly inter-departmental. Drivers lose their job, or get a bad DAC report.

95% of "issues" are "spun" to make the driver re-think his/her position. Not so for admin or management. The "industry" sucks! The job is fun. Love driving. But, as I have stated....I will NOT tolerate being disrespected by anyone...especially one who thinks(?) they are smart because they perceive themselves higher on the food chain.

Y'all have a good day now, ya hear?
What I love is when some snot nose 20something points to his degree hanging on his cubicle wall as proof he knows what he's doing. I walk out to my truck and grab mine. When I show it to him/her they usually act rather sheepish at that point.
