visible to you and knowing its going to be re-powered. YOU failed
to put BOLs in the box on the front of the trailer and YOU failed
to remove your lock....WHOs the stupid one here for failing to follow COMPANY policy......IMO, its both of you..You for the above
and the other driver for Failing to check for the BOLs and the other fools lock on the back..............

Dude take a chill pill it is also company policy to keep the lock on it unless you drop the trailer in a secure location Ie the shipper, reciver or the company lots.
I forgot my lock on a load that I dropped in the layton yard because the other driver was there waiting on me so I dropped the trailer pulled away and forgot the lock.

I would put on lock when I was doing the pretrip and would take it off when doing a post trip but of course I did not have time for the post trip.

The other driver pulled up facing my truck and was sitting there idling while I was still backing up.

I hate to be rushed I relayed my eta for the load and was even 1 hour early for the drop the load.

The load still had plenty of time to get to the destination but this other guy was in a hurry to grab it and go.

That's all pretty and condemning... except at that point, I didn't know it was going to be repowered. In fact, there wasn't anything on my qualcomm about it until *I* notified dispatch that the other driver had no paperwork, and he had my lock. At that point, they told me to fax the paperwork. I still don't know how he's gonna handle the lock.

If I'd been advised - even by telephone, I'd have had the paperwork in the box (which is where *I* got it in the first place) and my lock off by the time the other driver showed.

I just looked. That dispatch is still in effect on my qualcomm - it hasn't been cancelled, and every reference to the repower is in response to a transmission from me..

Nope, no cigar for you, my friend.

Appreciate you sticking up for me, but in all fairness, I started the name-calling here by referring to the driver who repowered my load as a "darn fool". Admittedly, it wasn't directed at another board member (directly), but it was name-calling.

Though, given the vituperativeness of his response, I have to wonder if maybe rigdriver1 is the feller who repowered my load.

Makes you think, you betcha.

nope. Still sitting here. Still no decision on whether or not they're going to fix it.

However!!!!

I talked to Danny this afternoon and they're putting me in a different truck.l As soon as my ride gets here (and I have no idea when that's going to be - but it's supposed to be some time today), I get a ride back to Peyette and I drive off in a 387.

Not the ideal solution, I like this truck, but it will get me back on the road and earning a little money here and there.

The 387's have alot of body roll. They do have better turning radius not as good as a freightliner but not as bad as a 379.
I was not to impressed when I started out with my trainer in his but he gave his up because the wiring harness went out while I was with him.
We were broke down in fontanna ca for about 1 week before they switched him out. He and the shop almost got into blows because they kept lieing to him oh it will be fixed tomorrow well being fixed tomorrow never came.
It took about two weeks before it was fixed ''warranty issues''.

Then he got a older freightliner which I loved because I was primaraly trained in one of those.
When I come back I will either get a freighliner or a 387 I will never drive a 379 Danny knows that.

The only fault is with the driver who pu the trailer. This was a repower not a dropped trailer. The company policy is to go to the driver and obtain bills and have lock removed. Not hook to a trailer and leave without even a pretrip or bills.

It is also company policy at May for both drivers to complete a repower Macro.

Confucius says, one should know company policy and have a IQ before commenting on someone else's IQ.
