Columbia, SC Area

Hey everyone,
I am just wondering about anyone who lives in or around Columbia, SC for some transport companies to work for. I have looked into alot, but I haven't had anything that actually have terminals in the city.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Justin

I live in GA.

Hey, I live in the Augusta, Ga area. I'm going with Millis Transfer, and they are out of WI, but have a terminal in ATL. The offer training if you need it.

Well, TMC has a terminal just up the hill from the Pilot on Charleston Hwy, and there are quite a few terminals down on Old Dunbar Road. Southeast Freight has a terminal on Sunset Blvd and there is a R & L terminal on the frontage road of I26 but I don't think they hire out of that terminal any longer.

After 4 weeks on the road away from home, 1 hour to drive home will be cake.

That's for sure!
An hour is NOTHING.

If an hour's drive doesn't sound good to you, you might want to seriously reconsider getting into the trucking industry.
Trust me, after driving 8 to 10 hours a day 6 or 7 days a week, an hour's drive will fly by.
If not, you've made a mistake, and will probably come to detest driving a Big truck.

trust me, i dont detest driving. but there's no reason for me to accept a job that's gonna require me to have my wife drive me an hour to/from the truck or buy another vehicle. there are too many companies that will allow me to take the truck home.
