They have a permanent sign for hiring drivers. Promised a rate and a truck. Sent me out with a trainer for a week ( I have 6 yrs driving) still promised me my rate of 42, but only gave me half. Did not give me layaway after waiting 10 hrs for a load after I got my truck after a week. First week only 1409 miles. Gotta park the truck in their yard. No miles. Unfriendly dipatchers. Owner is a jerk. So they lied to me repetedly. Did not pay me what they said. Did not pay layover. Got low miles. Not what was advertised

 

I drove for 2 diff companies before Mid Con. One Mega (national) & one Minor (local) & had completely lost my faith/respect for the Trucking Industry. Returned to Security Officer gig - lost that job & decided to give Mid Con a go out of shear employment necessity (thought it would be temp until I found another Security assignment). Within the 90 day probation period, Mid Con not only completely restored my faith/respect for Trucking, but continues to endlessly impress me with their professionalism & respect for their drivers. The pay is great, their equipment is great, home time is great, maintenance is great & driver expectations are more than realistic. They compensated you for everything - $75 layover, $50 touch freight, 100% parts & out of pocket. They do not waist YOUR time or money!

The owner is very personal, fair, professional & human - he already knew my name on the first day & hasn't forgot it! I've now been with Mid Con for a year & can't imagine finding a better company to work for! It's difficult to find any Trucking Companies with better than a 3/3.5 rating - Mid Con is better than a 4 rating... Go ahead, see if you can find another company with this good of a rating - because I've tried & cannot... Mid Con also offers unlimited $200 referral bonus.
