I know they have a terminal in Ocala. Their trucks run all the time, sometimes 3 or 4 in a convoy running up and down U.S. 17, 21, and 301/441. I think they handle some Wal-Mart accounts.

Recruiters in Swift get paid more, and faster, for experienced drivers verses new drivers. The recruiters are only allowed to recruit so many drivers per terminal right now, although we will be changing that in the near future. The bad thing with experienced drivers is you schedule them in for orientation and then they dont show up. The recruiter lost a recruiting spot. When recruiting opens up full tilt again, the recruiters will be after experienced drivers again.

Thanks Majik Lady!
The driving part takes a bit of getting use to, but all the practice is paying off. My backing and docking skills are are improving all the time and my down shifting is alot better today! Yesterday was a little tough but it all seamed to come together today! The hardest part for me was down shifting at the right RPM, and not taking it out of gear befor I came to a complete stop as you might in a small car. We have to break those four wheeler habits. Hats off to all you profesional drivers out there, it's not as easy as you make it look! All in all, things are going well! Tonight I'm going to studie my pre-trip inspection stuff, and tomorow, more docking skills and road trips! Oh, and good luck to you with school Majik Lady! I know you will do well you'r self! You seam to have a kind spirit about you, and I know God will rewared that! Polk Salit out!

To whom it may concern!
I have to choose betwene Lathrop and Fontana as my home terminal. I live about half way betwen both, maby a little closer to Fontana, but not much. I'm willing to run all 48 states or if I were to choose a region it would be the North West. I'm not sure and I don't really care. So I was wondering if any one had any thoughts or suggestions!

I started as a South western region driver. I got bored with that really quick and took the first available eastern trip that they gave me without any questions or hesitations.

Since then My DM has changed me over to 48 states and I'm extremely happy about the change and won't switch back.

There's aways a load waiting for you if you don't mess up.

I have to admit Swift has kept me extremely busy and that's highly appreciated on my part.

Hope this helped a little.
Peace!

I ran out of Fontana my DM Ron T was pretty good. However if you want to run North west Lathrop would most likely be the terminal you'd want. Swift has this thing about having their drivers living in the "comfort zone" or so I was told.
