my luck i come from hometime to camp in my truck for 4 more days.

o/o how are you guys doing out there?
I was the last 3 or 4... this week a bit down...2207. And stuck in Ft. Wayne just before another ice storm. The only thing offered is a load that P/U Friday evening, delivering outside Jackson, MS for Tuesday morning. And I am suppose to start vacation this weekend in FL. Which doesn't bother me when I start vacation as long as I get all my allowed time off. If they get me home Wednesday, then leaving out the following Wednesday (new years eve) is unlikely, so knowing how slow freight is out of FL. I wouldn't leave until after the holiday.... Which I wouldn't be against since I have been out since mid-October.

And I promote Bailey to the head of the 'complain like snackbar' class.... He has taken the reigns of my runaway B####-mobile.

Even with the slowdown here...I still make better money than I could anywhere else. By what I have heard from other drivers around the industry...everyone is down on miles. Why get 1500-2000 mi a week somewhere else making under .47/mi? Schneider isn't getting miles, Swift stopped hiring experienced, JB is selling drivers newer and newer trucks, US is forcing drivers to team, buy a truck or go home... There isn't much grass (green or otherwise) on the other side of the fence to compare to anywhere right now... The best thing is bite the bullet and hold on. It's only going to get worse before it gets better... May as well be with a company that isn't in debt up to their eyeballs, that can survive.

My cousin drives for DeBoer, and his miles are in the 2200-2600 mpw range as well. He's making .35 mp with almost 20yrs exp..

I talked to him on Sunday, and he told me that while he was fueling in Dandridge,TN he struck up a conversation with a Swift drive who had been sitting at that truck stop since Wednesday due to no freight. Five days, now that's bad! Made the 2 1/2 days I spent in East TN waiting to get another load the week before seem not so bad.

Happy? eeeeuhhhh... not quite that far, but much less unhappy than I was. (every time I have told someone I was happy, Karma kicks in and goes out if it's way to knock me back down...so I don't say I'm happy no matter the prosperity) They did find me a load to FL though....at 10am Friday I was beeped with a load that p/u 90 miles from here 1st thing in the morning drops anytime 80 miles from home... HAPPY DAYS ARE HERE AGAIN...THE SKY ABOVE IS NOT CLEAR AGAIN. The worst part of it is I have to go 1/2 way across IN on US30 after an ice storm, empty. Good thing I found my pry bar...looks like I'll need it once I get there to get the seat out of my butt.

Thanks for including in your supplied directions whether or not overnight parking is available at the customer. Thanks for having good maintenance shops that will actually get you in and out. Thanks for having maintenance people actually listen to you and try to fix your problems.

I worked for PAM for my first year experience and I can say without doubt that I will be with Crete for as long as they will have me. Everything I complained about at PAM while working there..Crete does right.

I guess the only thing about Crete I can think of that bothers me..is I cant use the qualcomm while the truck is moving. Thats it..that what I have to complain about.

Driving is the toughest profession I have ever had..it seems that at least at Crete they treat you like a professional.

omg please spost another bulletin in say uhhhhhhhhhhh 3yrs ok?

Yeah cretes lost alot of good drivers lately,,,there hiring qualifications have gone waaaaaaaaaaaaaay down,, and there accidents have gone waaaaaaaaaaaaaay up....with any company if you want something sadly 1 message aint gonna cut it, ya gotta keep typing until they retaliate and give you a 500mi trip with 7 days on it to shut you up..
