ROFL, I love how green as grass newbs walz into the industry and right off the bat act like they know everything.

1) If you are given a 2100 mile Chicago-L.A run to do in 48 hours, do you think you'd be on time legally?

2) Now what if you hit major snow on I-80 in WY or major traffic in Las Vegas?

3) What if you caught a flat and lost 2.5 hours?

4) There are 1001 things that can happen on the road, the longer the trip the larger the chance of something going wrong.

Let us know how it's going after a week of being out there solo, you'll see exactly what I'm talking about.

With CRE you have plenty of time to make loads even if you have a break down. My first load solo was a Team Load, it arrived on time. Most of the time I arrived way early with CRE, with one exception where I had 2 break downs and snow storms to boot. The only 1 hour late.

CRE does has it problems but in reality they all do. It all in the attitude. Some it works great where other it does not.

Biker I wish you luck.

That wasn't the point, what I was trying to say was that most of the time being late is because of reasons out of the driver's control.

Im sure Art left CRE because he couldnt stomach spouting the lies or rhetoric any longer...Reading the above posts are several exact quotes from the classroom instructors planting the seeds for the promotion of the Lease dis-opportunities. I drove for CRE 6 months, the only time I made money was as a company driver, then after signing a lease I obtained CAT student (essentially another fool hardy soul going down the wrong path to a lease). I stayed on the road 4-6 weeks at a time, never had a late load, never an OS&D...No log violations. CRE is geared towards team operations or solo lease failures. The money they deduct from a solo's payroll and held in different accounts is ultimately absorbed by the company when the driver is forced to seek better opportunities. If you must utilize CRE to obtain your CDL, GREAT, use them to your betterment, but NEVER EVER under any circumstances sign a lease with them. I can assure that you will not be the exception to the numerous failures posted on this site. Good luck in your daily adventures.
