Made it into Salt Lake City around 1am Monday morning. Class starts at 7. Butt is sore (I HATE Greyhound) and I'm tired. Dug through my bags for the alarm clock and just passed out.

Day 1 - Buttload of paperwork. After lunch, time to start the information overload. About a half dozen individuals are obviously there for vacation because they're cutting up in class and ain't paying attention. Prime example of those that ##### about the company.

Day 2 - More info.... DoT test tomorrow for learners permit. Late night tonight studying for General Knowledge, Air Brakes and Coupling....

Day 3 - Nailed the test.. 94%, 95% and 96%. Back to school for more info. In the trucks on Friday for backing.

Day 4 - More info... 13 didn't pass the written test. Some are going home already. The rest will test tomorrow.

Day 5 - In the trucks. Straight line backing and offset backing... Tomorrow is parallel parking and test out if we feel comfortable with it.

Day 6 - In the trucks again. Parallel parking and practice. Took the backing test. Nailed it. No points scored against me.

Day 7 - Off.. YEAH!!!!!! (Those that didn't test on Saturday test today for backing..)

Will add to this thread later as the week goes on. On the road starting Monday, with final DoT road test on Friday.

Initial impressions so far. Decent company. The people that ##### and moan about CR England are those that have been yanked back into headquarters for log violations or accidents. Most of the O/O and Lease Operators I've talked to have good things to say about the company. Company drivers as well have good things to say. Those that I've heard bad mouth the company are those that don't want to do things the company way and get their butts put into a sling.

Will add more later. Time to do laundry and take a shower.. I'm BEAT!!

Seriously though, I wish you good luck ar CRE but continue to post even if things go south. So many newbies jazzed by their adventures seem to disappear when their adventure turns into a nightmare.

Remember CRE has to keep a few lease drivers happy they have to have someone con the newibies into the leasing and loosing all their money.

I had a CRE lease driver start the same time as me with May Trucking he was about to loose his house wife etc if he did not start to make money that is why he said that he went to May.

I do not know how he drove if he drove alot of miles while at CRE or not he claimed that he was allways running but who knows.

When someone fails at something it is allways anothers fault.

That is why I do not balme May for all of the reasons that I quit but there were some problems with them.

I could of done things differently and probaly should of but I was so po'd that I just quit.

Good luck and keep us posted, you will always hear the bad over the good no matter what company you are with. Yes some more than others but those that you do hear bad about are the training companies and some people just cant hack it anywhere.

First day for some serious driving.. What a RUSH! The three of us in the truck managed to put in about 81 miles today. Back out tomorrow with mountain driving on Wednesday. Can't wait!

Talked to a couple of drivers today who were moaning and groaning about no money. Asked just 2 questions... 1.. Do you try to be on time, and 2.. Do you stay on the road? Got a no for both questions... Uh huh.... Quit yer bitchin' and look in the mirror then. Sheesh!

You need to make big bucks so you can buy a laptop and come back to see us on "Last Post" while you're on your 10-hr breaks.
