Well I've been driving for ALS for about a month now and I have to say thus far I'm pretty impressed with their operations. For starters I'm being paid .34 cents a mile as starting pay. I'm driving a 2007 KW T800 that has a Carrier APU on it. I'm able to get direct deposit for my pay plus health benefits that kick 90 day's after you start your employment. Not to mention the dispatchers are the nicest people I've worked with in a long time. So if there are drivers in MI looking to change for a better carrier send me a private message and I'll hook you up with their phone number.

Well, it looks like you have not recived many responces and with all the talk about some of the companies out there, I am suprised that no one has responded. I trust you got plenty of private messages. Well, I came on board this forum bucause I was in the process of loosing my work, then we had a turn around and now, I am out the door on Sept 17. My wife is excited because she wants to drive, (she just recently lost her job also) and I am agree able to this but not as hot to trot as my wife. With the two of us being future newbees to this life, I may need that number down the road. By the way, I am comming out of the 1400 job loss, Monaco Coach Corp., in Elkhart county, Indiana but I live in Michigan.

Scott, I would like the number to ALS. I live in GR and can't seem to find it. I am looking for a good place to start my career. I do not want to look back and say "I should have taken that job at the Mc donalds on 44th street instead of going into trucking". I can't message you. This is my first post. Can someone help with that.

That member is no longer on the forum (it shows MIA - retired or banned). A quick search on google turned up nothing that makes sense to me, but you may want to try googling them. The results may make more sense to you since you live there!

The closest thing I can get is ALTL which is in Hudsonville (near Grand Rapids) and is on the website of West Michigan Cdl school... and it DOES offer a starting rate of .34/mi as per their website.
