I actually went to salt lake city instead of Tulare, CA. Because I was there turning in an England truck.
Now they have flown me to Kansas city KS to recover a CA. truck, And return it to CA.
they are paying $150 to come here then whatever I make driving it back.
So far so good, sure beats england.

At Knight it's all regional work, most of your loads will be in that 300 to 800 mile range.

What, if anything, do y'all know about Knight's 7 on -- 7 off, and other such dispatch options, specifically concerning the Phoenix terminal. And does Knight have a terminal in SoCal?Yes, we have a terminal in Fontana. As for the 7/7 and such I'm not sure. You'd have to talk to one of the recruiters about it. PM me if you want and I'll give you a name and number.

Does Knight have Los Angeles ---> Phoenix turns, or Los Angeles ----> San Francisco turns? And, if so, do driver trainers do those runs as a steady diet? There's a Long Beach-Phoenix run with containers, and a LA-Phoenix/Vegas if you have doubles. Also a Sandy Eggo-Vancouver BC if you have Canada clearance. No driver trainer positions though.

Also, do you reckon they'd accept a seasoned driver who has been off the road for over 10 years, but still in possession of a Class-A CDL?Again you'd have to talk to a recruiter, I don't wanna give you bad info. I know they require 2 years, or did when they hired me.

Thanx in advance. You're welcome, although not in advance because that would require ESP or something, and I ain't even finished my coffee yet.....
Couple of updates on ssbowles post.

Out of PHX you can run 7/7 or 4/4 on/off express.

Experience requirement is down to 6 months

Knight has started a new Division, called Squire, that will deal with Driver training

I was sent to Kansas city to recover a tulare CA. truck. first load was 1200 miles to tolleson AZ. they paid $150 for the recovery plus the miles for the trip back, Also put me up in decent hotels. The truck broke down in Albequerque, NM. So I'm sitting here getting layover + hotel room.
Went to orientation last monday, So far they have deposited almost $800 in my direct deposit, And I've only driven about 900 miles.
So far so good!

Well I was running good this week, sitting in El Paso w/ 2800 miles since friday and there is NO FREIGHT here. I'm on the second page of trucks waiting. I volunteered to do a 34 since I only had 12 hours left if they would get me a decent load for Friday lined up.

Before today this week was great. Left Kraft in Fresno Friday night. Delievered at Walmart in Grandview, WA on sunday morning. Picked up at International Paper in Union Gap, WA on sunday and delivered in Idaho Falls, ID on Monday. Loaded in Jerome, ID Monday and Delivered today(Wednesday) in El Paso. Not the hardest I've ever run but still pretty good.
