The company I work for wants a washout and trailer wash after every load. That's not always possible based on where you are and when the next load appointment is - so I carry a push broom as well. It's mandatory when going from a hazmat load to any kind of food product - and even though it's a food product - a meat load that bleeds in the trailer qualifies as hazmat because of the blood.

Most of the time its b4 you pick up the next load. But it really all depends on what your picking up. You are told when the shipper requires it. If you know your gonna be hauling stone or hydraulic cement to name a few you wont have too. Most every foodload req. it. Bud beer is really picky about having a washout done.
AfterShock Thanks this. -
Like that armored cow pee they sell in lieu of real beer is actually going to be affected by a little dirt! Amazing how picky they are! -
Thanks, that about answers that question, sounds like you must have a wash out often. Thanks again and DRIVE SAFE

I am a 28 year veteran driver. A successful one at that. If I am sitting in a truck stop it is because the company failed to dispatch me. If "frieght is down" then I blame the company. They make their problem mine and I will deal with it like it is mine. If I cannot afford to stay in business then I will get out. I Did. $900/WEEK trk paymnt. $210/WEEK insurance just to start. 2100 miles needed to break even. 2200 mi/week average over 7 weeks.
I am glad! yes Happy for you! that you are happy where you are at. But save your propaganda speach for the guys around the smoking area that are willing to suck it up. Good common sense will tell a person that if there are this many complaints it is far more than just a bunch of losers. It is a losing company with a losing policy made to fleace the sincere.
28 years no chargable accidents. No moving violations in over 5 years and 2 in the last 15. I say this. Great training company if you don't expect money right away. The trucks are set up for a 5year old to drive safely. They will even help you keep between the lines with a squack box everytime you cross one. A computer that tells you it is time to stop. A computer to fill in your logs and add and subtract your hours of service. messages everyday to tell you how to keep the bottom of the truck on the road as opposed to the roof or side. a computer that tells you you took the cornor to fast. a computer to tell you you slowed down to fast. messages everyday on how to drive on snow. how and when to put on chains. Great rookie! go for it! someday when you become a SKILLED driver maybe you will move on to a company that will allow you to use those skills and training without the need to be babysat.
Meanwhile save the propaganda for those who don't know better. It IS a BAD BAD deal to lease with this company.pacwest, AfterShock and JCTwife Thank this. -
First off I want to applaud the 3 I mentioned above. They hit the nail on the head. But one thing YOU forgot to mention the time C.R. England got audited by the D.O.T. and the F.B.I. all on the same day for burned logs. And that they are always getting pulled in to the D.O.T. at the weigh stations for one thing or another. Now BeanTown this is what I have to say about your "wonderful" C.R. England. The only "good thing" they gave my husband and I was the one year experience he needed to join John Christner Trucking, other than that C.R. England stinks big time. They caused us to lose our home because of their "such wonderful pay". We were scrounging change so my husband and I could eat peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. Living off of cash advances so we could have those p.b.& j sandwiches. Six dang weeks no paychecks. We ran 130,000 miles for that ignoramus for the year and our net pay for the whole year was $12,000.00 dollars, yes that's right no typo there. I copied and pasted the actual pay stubs from the C.R. England website for proof. Why don't you go to Google and check out ripoff report and see how many pages of people who were in the same boat my husband and I were in. How Gene England himself kicked them people of his property and told them to find their own way home. Gee funny Beantown, you forgot to mention about good ol' Mr. England losing a $50 million dollar lawsuit to his leasers for shafting them. You don't believe me? Then make a call to OOIDA like I did and hear it from the horses mouth directly like I did. Oh and you so up to par with England, then why is Gene England driving a truck himself to try and saves his customers? I will tell you why. Because so many of his drivers have been late on loads it's pathetic. And you probably gave that yourself in one of your previous posts. For what England did to my husband and I, I would not care in the least if that company was to burn to the ground. That man is the low life scum and anything bad happens to him he truly deserves it after he ruined so many peoples lives getting them to believe his lies. You know BeanTown, you could sound like the son Gene England never had by the way your praising him. Gee Beantown, how come on your profile where it says "Trucker" you put "No Answer"? That must one your not actually a trucker even though you "so call" run for them, and 2 even though you think you're talking a good game, deep down you're actually embarrassed that you are driving for them and couldn't get no one better. And you brag about your itty bitty England truck. That's why our International Eagle blows right past the England trucks. So instead of talking how good of a driver you are, why don't learn how to run with the big dogs instead of sitting on the porch?

Hmmm, if you have proof of indescretion I suggest you post a link or tell us where to find this info of CR losing a legal battle. Last I heard, CR hasnt lost any of its legal battles as it is able to delay till the plaintiff quits from not being able to compete.
Good for you that you found something that works for you. I highly doubt that Beantown can toss aside Horizon just yet. Horizon gets their meat hooks into you and you are either there for the long haul, or bail....
Just my opinion. You come up with the proof of the heresay and I will gladly post a retraction. -

Get your facts straight please. I am not with. I am some one whom thinks that we are spending too much time slamming those that are succeeding and saying the ######.
As to my previous post. Google search OOIDA - Legal Action Archive Does indeed say .... (article dated June 4, 2002)
I dont see how this will affect anyone with a present fleece tho

Reading further the OOIDA site, The lawsuit is for truckers during the time of 1998-2002. CR has since changed "truth in disclosure".

I have too pretty much agree with you! Went to school in April 2008 got my cdl a through them, had already been in trucking 10 years before that, straight trucks, worked for Pitt-Ohio express for 7 years, did air freight for 3 years etc. Good to get my license through them, but they pretty muched sucked! Stayed a week on the road with them(trainer issues) Came home got local job right away..You get pulled in a lot at weigh stations, trainers try to play it off, but i already knew what the deal was, talked to other classmates after i left, some of them were on their 3rd trainer, and still getting paid training pay. And 1 of those court cases, they didnt lose but had to restructure their lease program and show the feds their new plan! The guys that were making decent money legally doing about 3500 miles, 1 post here says 4000 miles a week..Doesnt sound legal too me!
