A lot of company's that say 3mo. Exp. Or 6mo. On their sites will count your diploma from cdl school as exp. Even though they don't advertise that, so yeah I would def put in some calls

matt have you checked out tmc or usa??? both take students and would probably be better choices than werner.

usa is in good shape financially, posted a q3 profit. Take to coastie he drives for them and seems happy there and that they have kept the wheels turning.

Tmc(flatbed) has a good training program, 12 days combination of securement, classroom and yard training and 4 to 5 weeks with a trainer. The reason for the training is because they operate 13 speed transmissions and spread axle trailers. rawlco would be the best to chat with.

maverick has cut back on hiring students because they just brought on a bunch and they say they want to get them "home for the holidays" Plus maverick has a waiting list and depending on where your state is will depend on how long til you can get on board and you would probably start in the glass division. Notarps can give you some insight on maverick

Hope that helps you out

Roehl was good to me when I started out, and now Prime is treating me good, too. I pulled flatbed and curtainside for Roehl, and went to Prime Refer to be a Lease Operator (more $$$ and less looking over my shoulder).

Stay away from Werner. You can do a lot better out there.

I dont want to change the subject here, but I do have one question for you. How long have you been with Prime? are you regional? Sorry, that was two questions and thanks for your answer. (I considered Prime about a year ago)

Swift Been Good To Me

I had worked for Swift for 2 1/2 years had no problems with them pay always on time and always got reimbursed in a timely manner. I know some folks have issues with Swift but I never did in fact I'm returning this week.

I really enjoy Prime and I've been with them since July 14th . They keep me moving, and I'm making good money. I truly believe that my attitude plays a great part in my success.

Let me know if you want/need any more info. I'll be happy to help you in any way that I can.

Might want to try Arrow its skateboard and they just picked up a lot of business out west. I would recommend staying away from distribution, I did beer and food and it sucks u work your ### off and yeah youre makin 60 or 65 a year but u spend most of it at the chiropractor, seriously. Get u some experience at a decent company then find somethin better. Reefer is a little slow right now but expect it to pick up again in march or so. Keep in mind those grocery warehouses can eat up your miles Flat bed companies are goin broke except the bigins like tmc arrow. Roehl is prolly your best bet if youre just not sure they have a lot of regional stuff and offer every kind of load a newb could want. Best of luck to ya!
