To walleye,

thank you, this place is awesome. This is why i dont wanna move to find work, instead ill keep my work moving.

Three of us from my class are car pooling to Springfield for dec 1st Orientation. Looks like times running out for other options. I hope I can be home for Xmas.

Thanks all for the input on companies to start with etc. . . its helped me narrow down the applications I have sent out. I figure Ill knock down some XP and try local, So if anyone knows of some good Michigan companies, hit me with em.

peace!

I've pretty well settled on KLLM to start with, in Jackson starting December 15. I'll be "graduating" from school the day before Turkey Day, and I have some personal business to attend to through the 8th of December, so the 15th it is.

Sadly Arrow isn't an option for me because of the grant I used to pay for school; I have to pick one of the companies on the list (Werner, USA, Swift, KLLM, CRST, Shale, and a local water hauler who isn't hiring) or I get to repay the grant.

But based on what I've seen so far, KLLM seems to be about the best of the choices I have. Any last minute tips or suggestions based on that list?

KLLM

Well, I think that KLLM is the best choice, just be very carefull:I applied with them, they were dragging me for more then 15 days and then said that they can not hire me because it was more yhen 30 days since the day I got my CDL and finished school- still I think that they are best solution

Have you looked into TransAm out of Olathe Ks, They pre-hire grads and claim to make 46k first year.My husband left for orientation last night. He called tonight and said everyone there is really nice and his first day was great.
3 days orientation then out on the road with a trainer for 3-4 weeks TransAm is a reefer outfit.
