I have been out there and talked to Mr Hoover before. And was offered a job. I'm just trying to get some more information from a driver or someone that knows. Maybe goods, bads, real hometime, what to expect for pay. You know, some insider info. Not just what the brochure or the guy doin the hiring is gonna say. Something to help my final decision.

I have spoken to a few of their drivers at the same places that I have been and they all seem to like working there.

I have spoken with the carrier that they (Valley) are leased to, Great American Lines. I am scheduled to start with their reefer division April 11. GAL seems to be an easy going company.

:biggrin_25519:I am soon starting my externship with valley, and am planning on working for them. So far they are a great company, their equipment is nice, the terminal is great and its not to far from me. I'm ecstatic about being accepted by valley and can't wait to get started.

Great American Lines has a terrible record with the FMCSA:
The worst 11% for unsafe driving;:biggrin_2555:
The worst 13% for fatigued driving;:biggrin_25521:
The worst 21% for driver fitness;:biggrin_2556:
The worst 18% for vehicle maintenance.:biggrin_25510:
The other listed categories are either not available or classed as "Inconclusive". "Top of their game" is not a phrase I would use with Valley Transportation, driving under Great American Lines. BTW, why do they need to be under another company's DOT Authority?- even worse problems than those listed above? Hmmmmmm....

I had an interview there. The manager flat out told me that he would show me how to run illegal- that was the only way make money there. And they are on alert status with FMCSA for their drivers driving fatigued with bad logs.:biggrin_25513:
