They will actually show you how to fudge your logs in training ..... its the only way u can make any money with valley. They play the favorites game with drivers also. As a matter of fact I heard they just had a driver fall asleep and die in a rollover due to trying to run a load on time regardless of being way over his hours. Loyalty is a joke there and I think their nothing but a starter company.

They are a starter company no doubt about that. There turnover rate is high as well. But when starting out it is a better option to run flatbed with them and be home for the 34 hour restart on the weekends every weekend. With dry van just starting out you could be out for 2-4 weeks and home for two. Overall its a fair at best start compared to what's out there.

Do your six months/1 yr and find other employment in some type of specialized freight like LTL,Vehicles, HAZMAT Tanker. Average check is between 700-900 per week depending on dispatch. Some do make more but those are trainers with trainees. Get used to sitting at those customers for a long time. You do not get layover or deadhead pay. It's all 25% or 26% percentage of the load and there rates are not 1200.00 average. More like 750.00 per load and average 5 loads in a good week. Like I said its a start but not a place to finish in the long term. It's definitely better than say swift, covenant, Werner but this is a flatbed company not a dry van so you will be dirty at the end of the day and work your tail off.

So far what I've seen from Valley is great. They are big on safety and if you want to through an extra chain on to make you feel safe, then they don't have a problem with it.

Are you with Jaro? I am really curious about that company. They seem like a smaller but we'll run business.

Valley has nice looking equipment not sure how good the company is. I see their trucks near Chicago all the time, they must haul a lot steel in their covered wagons.

Why not call and ask! :laughing6:

But in all seriousness this is something you should not have to worry about....
and if you do, you probably should not be a driver....

Its a profession, not a job. If you want to do drugs go flip burgers.
