Steelersfan if I was in your shoes I would go to one of these crappy companies for 1 to 1 1/2 years OTR then head on over here. Shoot you could even lower yourself and go drive at Prime, in all seriousness working for Prime as a company driver is not a bad gig those guys make $750.00 to $1,000.00 every week. I wished i would have done that at least it would have been consistent money.

JCT wants a year over the road as your last driving experience. And I can get my dispatcher to say that but not after I talk to the recruiter!

I would pay money to go see one of us middle aged truckers run 5miles. I could walk 5 miles while every once in awhile lightly jog. That's funny stuff there now. Vulcan u make it to Oregon, or r u in Idaho for the night? I'm in Kentucky. It way hot here still. Talked to a jct driver in a pro star last nite at the walmart dc in brundidge,al. I like those trks when I come over later this year I hope they still got some of those. They look sharp.

Taking a 34 hr restart here in Boise ID at the TA, I may hang out tomorrow at the Flying J because it seems to be located next to a shopping plaza. I plan on heading into Clackamas OR around 6pm tomorrow for a 11am delivery figured I get there early and take a nap.

I had lunch today with a very nice JCT driver named Dan, we chatted about JCT and he gave me some inside info on how to make things work here. He's been with them about 18 months and seems to like working here.

My Advice to Newbies coming here and after you get here, is to talk to the drivers who have been here awhile and only listen to the ones who run hard and work the JCT system, they will show you how to make money here and theres plenty of money to be made. JCT is not for everyone just like 99% of the company's out there are the same.

Prime didn't work for me
* they like to make their drivers sit 24-44 hrs to get reloaded
*they want to go paperless
*they don't want their drivers communicating with the fleet managers by phone
*they feel if your solo you can't be profitable
*they don't like you going home
*solos can't run loads over 500 miles a day all of which I notice are opposite here at JCT.
So if you feel the same as me then come on over if not find another company.
