Huckleberry, if the driving thing doesn't work out you would make someone a good travel planner.

Dabs,

Check out Southwest from St. Louis. Airport code is STL and Tulsa's is TUL. Looks like its $136 for one one-way ticket.

If anyone on here needs me too look up airfare into TUL, pm me and I will happy to do this for you. I am aviation savvy inaddition to truck savvy. Does JCT have a gift shop? If so, how much are their shirts? I would like one.

Putting me up at Days Inn West in Tulsa. Was told I could get there as early as Friday afternoon and JCT would pay for the extra nights at hotel. Orientation starting on Monday.

Thanks, KH... you are so great to help out! Actually, we are flying from Salt Lake City as that is where we have to turn in the truck, etc.

I got two air plane tickets through Orbitz for $316.00, I was pleasantly surprised! We were going to drive from SLC as we have all the stuff in our truck to bring with us, but when I compared the rental car rates to air plane rates... well... we'll save about $1000.00, so we will store our stuff in SLC and then go get it there vs going "home"... hopefully on the first trip or so.

The savings will help as the truck just broke down this morning... so we are in a hotel in Tupelo, MS. Might be done tomorrow, but if it goes like usual... we will be here through the weekend... it is Freightliner don't ya know. The up side... it ISN"T Laredo!!!!

Ahhh.... so nice to read the posts on a BIG screen... a TV, a bed and a BATH TUB... woohoo!

Dabs,

I used to be an aviation nut before switching over to trucking. Are you Delta by any chance?

Thanks! If all goes according to plan we will arrive there on Wednesday so we will pay for the extra nights. The time in Tulsa is our down time... as we haven't really taken time off for months now... except for this forced down time now due to truck repairs.

Let us know how orientation goes and good luck! :)

Dabs and Randy
