Hello to all the apple pie gang and welcome to those of you who are new to the thread or one timers,,,dont get a chance to post a whole lot right now,middle of busy season, so sometimes its a choice between facebook,here,or just straight to bed! Have been on with jct four about 5 months now give or take a week or so,,so heres the lowdown,,came here hoping to do at least as good as a veteran (top pay rate) company driver,,,,which i was,at heartland express,really needed to bring home at least 600wk after taxes and deductions etc...if you want the quick and dirty here it is,,,the average take home after figuring negtv weeks from hometime comes to 1200 a week minus your taxes,and the total average mileage for me is 3400 mpw at 5.5 mpg and fuel surcharge has stayed .26/.32 for the duration,,two paid layovers and those were less than 36 hours,,,this is with the most expensive current trk and apu configuration you can get....2010 prostar (12,477 miles on the od when i signed for it) brand new thermoking apu (95.00 week) and this is running around 90% legal, and only pushing the limit on rare occassions when things just get to bunched up,,,you all know the game..so as you check out the thread and wonder if its worth the time and effort,,for me ....yes,,even with the troubles i have had here and having fired one dm and almost becoming mortal enemies with his successor (we are good now) i would say that all in all i would make the switch again and hope this info helps clarify things for someone on the fence like i was,,,btw,,the 3400mpw figure is given to you along with this clause,,i have turned down 2 loads that did not fit any reasonable schedule and recommitted one one of those after getting new delv times,,and i have yet to have ask more than once a month if there are any loads,,,i just dont wind up sitting anywhere very long,,,typically im inputting addresses into gps on recievers parking lot and headed for pickups before shutting down..good luck see you all out here i like cheesecakes and mcdonalds apple pies,,bring it!!!

Oopps i forgot to list trk payment and side note: Trk 583 week side note(for one year) 128 week. Entire truck/ins/apu/escrow/bond etc ad naseum come to about 980 week fuel usually runs about 1500/1800 week...and yes...i know bigbrat2 your pay pak is so much better and you run 10,000 miles a week and you make 2.50 per mile on every load and your escrow account is free and etc..etc..etc..,,,if you want to ad meaningful tips and suggestions to this thread and be taken seriously then post here.... Now at JCT what are you drivers averaging a mile? A good freind and myself are going to start running team here in 2 months at Prime for my first year back on the road in 4 years. After that if it all works out I think the 2 of us would be interested in going somewhere else like JCT that is smaller that has miles to run
