I believe that taking my wife on the road would be a bad thing. As the women who are married to truckers know, male truck drivers are the most desired men on the planet. We are women magnets. We pull into a new town and hook the horn, that big sexy air horn, and it is like the flood gates open up and young, beautiful blondes start pouring out. No, I say live the women at home so they don't have to put up with what we really do out here.

I've gone out on the road three times with the guy I've been dating and loved it. So I got my CDL and am trying to get a job now. Wish me luck.

And her snoring seemed to be 10 times louder in the Truck.

Make sure you get into a school that trains and tests you with manual transmissions. It will save you a lot of heartache.

I have been in and out of the truck with my S/O for the last 3yrs. I actually lost my last job because I had taken a few days off from work to roll with him south. We were suppose to be back home say on a thurs or friday. He got dispatched to Chicago! Highlly unlikely for this company, he would have had to go 5-6 hours out of route to get me home!! So couldn't do that. I called two of my superiors, no answer. Left messages., no call back. When I showed up to work the following Mon am, they considered me a no show,no call in. Ok, thanks! So I went with him more!! Now I have my cdl permit, dot med card and have 600 miles driving (open road) under my belt. Looking for training and my cdl to team with him. Love being with him in a truck and rollin.,.,.,

Why haven't you gone with him? When did he start driving and who does he drive for? Is he an O/O?

i spent 10 wonderful years working with my wife on the road. We worked with nascar teams selling souvenirs at the tracks. Some times being on the rosd for 4 months at a time, We were always together either in the truck ,or stocking and selling in the trailer,or in a motel room. She did the ordering of product and managing the trailer and I moved us from track to track,We worked long hours at the track everyweek but It was the best time of my life, I lost her in 2010 to a brain anyreisume followed by a stroke, After close to a year I went to pullin reffers, sometimes I can feel her looking out the sleeper telling me to drive safe. Spending time one the road together will bring you so close to beeing one (as they say)
Nothing is ever tough when you do it with your love and you do it together!
