Most drivers take their trucks home for hometime, unless they live too far from the freight. And we are working on the APU thing. Hope this helps =)

I graduated from Val Tech in Valdosta, GA and was hired with Crete along with a few others. Though, I heard from another forum member that they arent hiring out of Georgia at the moment.

It depends on who you talk to,,ive sat and watched 11 trucks leave b4 me that i got empty b4. Most of these drvrs where new hires and made less..., not gonna slam ccc but they'res really no difffernce in companies., cpm dont mean anything, i made $14k less at .43cpm then i did at prior co at .36cpm...alot and i mean alot depends on your manager. Its like any job..the problem is the dispatcher plays a huge role on what your going to bring home, and sadly every company has there dispatchers who do favortism, as far as the ones watching over the dispatchers to prevent that,,,,,,same thing,,if there professional and your right,,you win and justifiably so,,if there not your screwed...i find the samller the company the better off you are..guy just quit after 18yrs so i think that says something, you gotta weigh everything..location..home time..benefits..ect..the trucking industry is very high school and alot of time unprofessional and whatever you do,,,,,,,do not believe everything you hear...especially in the commercials.

Bailey... Hello again from another posting about Crete. It seems as tho you aren't happy with your job at Crete. If that's so why don't you try finding another place of employment. With your years of experience and intelligence, you should have no problem. It saddens me to see someone like you having to work at a place that you don't like being at.

We have a few schools in southern GA - Griffin Tech in Griffin, Moultrie Tech in Tifton, Sandersville Tech in Sandersville, and Savannah Tech in Rincon. Currently we are on a hiring freeze SOUTH of Atlanta, though. Only way to get on from Southern GA right now would be to park a vehicle at the Marietta terminal.
Hope that helps

That is true for Southern GA. Only temporary though!
