Man, I am on my third week of training and my trainer is the worst smelling human I have ever met. He's so stinky I have to stick my head out the window sometime. I would ask for a new trainer, but I only have two weeks left. He also smokes like four packs a cigs a day and sounds like he might die at any moment. He gets out of breath eating. I can't wait to get my own truck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If he smells that bad, I don't think they will need a name to figure out who he is........

Kindsoul,

Could you please do all of us trainers at TMC a favor and report his sorry *** to the training dept. asap. There is absolutely no reason at all that a trainee should have to put up with conditions like that. I understand that you only have 2 weeks left with him but is that the memory you want to have of training? There are standards that we have to keep as drivers and even tighter standards as a trainer. I am truly sorry about the conditions that you have had deal with but keeping silent about it will only let that issue continue. Good luck in your endeavor.

Yea i had problems with my trainer too. he had a bad atititude and could BARELY speak english. He was a spanish guy that couuldn't go a day with out yelling about something. I remember one time i was driving he jurked the wheel because he though i was coming to close to the solid white line on the highway. I have my own truck now so just be patient and the dream with come.

I guess my luck was good with my trainer, its only been a week now but we get along good, we are close in age 37 39 and have similar interests. Plus I am ok with his truck rules, and he keeps a nice apperance and doesn't smell,,lol. Only bad thing is I have to travel 190 miles to where he is at, as he is closest one near me.

..well I didn't think of this before but with all the rules about appearance TMC has how did that guy get under the radar; nobody has any contact with him at terminals or shops, no contact with any of the other drivers at TMC? Is he an owner/operator that makes him less accountable for his appearance or hygiene at TMC?
