I won't say his name, but he is from Parkersburg West Virginia and his first name sounds like clean!

I need some information. I used to drive for tmc from february 2006- july 2007, and loved it there. The only issue that i had was my last fleet manager...that will be another story. I am not at all on here to slam tmc, they are an awesome company. I went to drive for maverick in little rock, and they are very good also. I am in the national guard, and was deployed over seas, where i am as i speak, back in march of 2008. I am expected to be back in the states mid to late march. My question is since i drove for tmc before, and i left on very good terms, can i go back to work there. If so how long will i have to do the orientation and training thing, flatbed work is all thatg i have done. I really miss it there. The people are very family oriented, and as i mentioned before, the only issues i ever had was when i got my last fleet manager.....an issue that any company has from time to time. If anyone could help. I would appreciate it.

Remember, be diplomatic. Alot of people i've talked to that have had problems with tmc is because they were just aholes to their fleet managers and whatnot. If you havfe a problem with something, they're more than happy to listen and try making it better for you, just explain in a polite manner, don't call them swearing and yelling.

Good luck to you my friend, we'll see you out there.
i worked for tmc from february 06- july 07. I loved working for them. I would reccommend them to anyone. I was deployed overseas in march o8, and i am there as we speak. When i left tmc, i left on real good terms, i gave them my notice. I made sure that i done my part in case that i wanted to return. I talked to them 2 days ago and they told me that they were going to submit my paperwork to the rehire committee and for me to call them in the middle of this week. My question is, what process is there when you rehire, and what part of the orientation and training will i be required to complete.

TMC let go 500 drivers because they need to free up loads for the better drivers. Things are slow so don't expect to be taken back right now. I hope the economy gets better!

i got a postcard in the mail from tmc today regarding an app i sent them in nov. i am now in training with central ref. so what is the story with tmc i have heard they let 500 drivers go and there is rumor of a buyout. if this is so why are they taking in students and newdrivers. i would rather work for tmc. than listen to that reefer allnight.

FLATBEDR,
With over one year of experience at TMC within the past three years I am guessing that you will not need to go back out with a trainer. Probably the one week orientation and providing you pass the driving test you will be assigned a truck. By late March the spring freight ought to be moving and things will be better.

1badz28,
I would not jump ship at one company to try for another until you get to the 6 month mark at least. You have a job, so consider yourself lucky.

The postcard means that they probably need more information from you to complete your application or something.
