Thanks to notarps and everyone else for their great advice.
Your welcome! Good luck, I think you will like them. I am in your neck of the woods. I kick this load off in the morning.

who? me? I asked her if they were hiring and she told me there was a freeze on hiring. then she asked me where I lived. there is actually a maverick driver around here somewhere. he/she parks his/her rig not too far from my house.

roxboro? I used to deliver aluminum to some extrusion place there several years ago.

I don't think they're hiring in ANY area. I didn't tell her where I was located until after she told me they weren't hiring. they're an OTR company. I don't think my location would matter anyway unless I lived in alaska or hawaii.

i live in the austin texas area.have my class a,haz-mat ( waiting on my background )tanker and doubles/triples(got em' all just in case) but my experience is pulling trailer houses down the highway and hauling dirt, sand, gravel in a 16 yd. dump.can anybody point me in the direction of a good company that's hiring and will train or use my experience in lieu of some of the training(the class room part only,i know i need the driving ) i dont mind paying my dues and starting at the bottom i just hate to get stuck with somebody like stevens or england(they're both up the highway in dallas) if i can keep from it, but im starting to get desperate. i gotta take care of momma and the girls and im running out of time and options. it dont matter if its long haul or not i just gotta go to work. i'd really appreciate any help.
