Boy you would love to work for Central Ref. then. We are sitting at least a full day after every load. Hell, I sat in Mobile, AL for two days waiting & that was fast! The other Central drivers had been there 3 days or more.

I worked with CRS in 07'. When I worked for them I didn't wait anymore then an hour usaully for a load (In 2007). And when there wasn't a load, I often was deadheaded up to 600 miles for one. NOw, sounds like there taking a hit like everyone. The thing I couldn't stand about CRS is battleling for my Detention Pay, and any Bonus pay. I don't even check my paychecks with Crete anymore. They've been spot on every time I've checked. CRS used to pay I think 50 dollars a day or something for no freight. They still do that? (not that I would go back...)

Ive been with crete 7 yrs and even though getting the miles has been getting harder, i am struggling to maintain 1400-1700/wk right now. i have an international with the bunk heater installed. 2 wks ago i had 65% idle time with 688 miles for the week. not a word from management about it. i think they know times are tough on all of us.

Why was your idle so high w/the bunk heater, or were you where you needed AC?

The computer shuts down the accessories and lights too soon.

if i just go to bed at the end of the day and do absolutely nothing else the buzzer that goes off to warn that the "load shedding" feature is about to be activated will go occur after about 4 hrs after i turn off the engine.

total load is just my 12v cooler.

if i try to read a book and turn on the reading lamp the lights and outlets will be turned off after about 2 hrs 30 mins.

total load is cooler and bunk reading lamp.

if i turn on the bunk heater the lights and outlets shutoff after about 45 mins.

total load is cooler and heater.

if i use my laptop to get on the internet or just watch a dvd the outlets and lights shut off in about 1 hr.

total load cooler and laptop.

so basically i need to recharge my batteries just to watch a movie or read a book. whoever designed this truck needs to spend a night or two living in one.

Sounds like your batteries are shot. I don't know what it's called, but the accessories will cut out to save the starting juice for the engine. Mine keeps a computer and cooler running and has never cut out. I do start the engine every so often to ensure a good charge, but it has not been necessary to do so . . . yet.

I had the same problem last month. But the accesories shut off within 10 min. of turning off the truck. Only load I had on the Batts. was my cooler. They replaced my 3mo. old batteries, they work ok now but I can tell there gona go soon because of the way the truck started after sittin over the weekend.
They need to spend the few extra bucks for better batteries.

I'm having the same problem. Had one or two batteries replace a few months ago and am now loosing acc power after about 30 mins. There is a nice sulfur smell to go along with it. I'm going to stop off in the Marietta yard tomorrow and see if I can get more new ones.

I'm wondering if it has something to do with the APU. Maybe it's frying them.

I had that checked and the batteries tested good. but when i put a voltmeter to them immediately after low bat shutoff they read 12.8 v so its not the batts its the idiot who decided that 12.7v was not enough power.
