Wanttodrive, weigh out the leasing with an extremely critical eye, a lot of drivers with experience fail at this endeavor, there are a lot of pitfalls and being new to the industry you would no doubt find all of them. Not being critical of you or your intentions, but please do yourself a favour and approach this industry with caution at this time. You at least now can pay your bills, alot of employed drivers are having problems meeting theirs as freight is still pretty slow. Pay in most of this industry is per mile, no miles=no pay. If you still are interested do a lot of research, driving is a possibility but your record will be a major hindrance. Drivers with exp and similar issues have trouble finding work. Best of luck in your search

I have been with crst for 4 years u can check the website they only go back 3 years and get your cdl throught them they have a place in fontana,ca however i sugguest that if u can go to there place in cedar rapids,ia better place to train however it will probably cost u more, if u can drive to fontana every day and not have to us them for housing that will save u money under there contract. I am assuming u are from ca. by your member heading u can read about crst on here but i will tell u that only beleave half of what u read i have some post on here got my cdl at crst and have never left company driver for 2 1/2 years and now I lease a truck for the last 1 1/2 they are team company not everyone can team drive but it is a company to look at just remember that the trucking industry is not the same as it was 1 or 2 years ago. If u have any ??? i will try to answer them for u good luck

Thank you everyone for your help and advice, I really hope i can achieve this and that my mistakes wont completely prevent me from doing this. I guess I can just try my hardest and see what happens, I will hold off on the lease Idea based on what I read so far. Thanks again for the help, I was thinking about paying for a trucking school soon so I'm glad I chatted on here first so i didn't waste my money.

Companies to get your training through: Best Companies= Swift, Covenant, KLLM, Worst=CRST, US Xpress(only because they have Automatic shift, you will not learn how to shift properly)

| The question is this? Out of your 4 accidents how many were u ticketed for? Your fault or no? Have you pulled a current MVR at the DMV? Do any of these show up on a 5 year MVR? No DUI right? Ok if you answer no to the mvr and none show up AT ALL on a 5yr report then no need to disclose. If yes then try England Swift Schneider Jb Or an owner op whom needs a driver Good luck
