If, and thats a mighty big if, they ever start hiring again, Newpark drilling fluids is a great company to work for
I spent the last few years working for them
most of the work is local with some long haul
the pay is better than good, I made, as a company driver, better than 80 grand last year and the benefits are not to shabby either

they are a private carrier, hauling their own product to their own customers
the work can be physically demanding and the hours are sometimes long and yes you "get" to work in all types of weather
no matter who I may be working for, if they ever start hiring again, I will go back in a heartbeat
everyday I wake up and pray for high oil prices again so I can go back to work in the oilfield
I know the O/O's will want to kill me for that last statement but since the price of oil has dropped, my pay dropped about 2 grand a month, then they had to downsize me
