I find it hard to swallow that anyone who thinks for themselves, could be a self-proclaimed "ditto head." I listen to Rush, sometimes, and while he often has intelligent things to say, he has a way of saying them that makes me want to reach into the radio, take him by the throat, and beat his head against his microphone.

I get a real kick out of his sarcasm, and the spoofs that he plays. But his egotism, and his belittling are just turn offs for me.

It really is too bad, because a lot of what he says is right on the money. I just don't like to have to listen to his ego.

To me, referring to yourself as a "ditto head," is putting yourself down. It means blind following and belief in everything that he says.

OK, enough off track. Back to the original thread. . .

Call me a mind numb robot if you want lol I still think for myself it just happens that most of the time I agree with Rush... LOL!

Also not wanting to turn this into a rush thread...I return you back to your regularly scheduled thread. LOL...

I hope that as the loads start to become a little more available that the rates go up to...

Now I would never call you anything like that. Er, I don't think I did! Did I?

As the loads come in, the economy will improve, at least a little bit. As the economy improves, ALL prices are likely to rise. Not just freight rates, but fuel rates (again) and everything else.

I have listened to both right and left leaning radio personality's at one time or another. I can tell you it is just as bad on either side.

I will however say that one message that comes through loud and clear that I agree with from the right is that people need to stop hoping the Government will solve their problems and take responsibility for themselves to better their lot in this world.

The left says that the me days are over and that we should all suffer equally. Bull! I am responsible for me and no one else and I am tired of paying for others who refuse to take responsibility.

The same people who bad mouthed trickle down economics in the private sector are now saying it will work if it comes from the public sector. Ha right.

I did not vote for either party candidate, but I can tell you this. The minute Prez Obama was sworn in each American family had over 18k in debt placed on their backs and counting, and sooner or later someone will have to pay off that debt. So start saving up people.

Not wanting to rain on anyone's parade but I graduated my school and got my CDL last week. I had 4 pre-hires. Finished with an overall score of 97%. Got 0 points on my CDL test at the DMV. Have 0 tickets or accidents in the last 10 years. The prehires ALL said, "Sorry we can't schedule any orientaions now". One even said that they aren't scheduling any orientations until May but by then my CDL will be over 60 days old and will require a refresher course so they couldn't schedule me.

We just have to keep pluggin' away...

I still can't say that I have been able to see a change in miles, as I and my co-driver are currently parked near Covington, GA and we did our empty call at 1:30 and had our pta set for 2:00. It's now almost 7 hours later. Hoping to see that light pop on soon.

I appreciate the good wishes. I am sure that if I keep working at looking I will find something. I believe that there is always SOMETHING, it may just not be exactly what we are looking for...
