Getting home every week-end with Tradewinds, is not always possible. Loads are slim pickins on Friday. One driver I have conversed with told me all they have told her are lies.

Who is your dispatcher # Tradewinds?

worked there several years ago

The people at hoosier tradwinds are not liars. I know the owner and if someone there was lying I can flat guarantee you they would not be there long enough to tell the second lie They are a good company but it really depends on what you are looking for and where you live as to whether you can get home every weekend. they are small and they have a big customer who they service and alot of backhaul is broker but decent broker freight. For their drawbacks they probably have the most caring personel of any where I have worked

Forbidden Exclamation Bounced Check from Trade Winds

My husband is currently driving for Hoosier Trade Winds and I told him from what I see is that they are having financial difficulties and to look for another driving company. Here is why:
First there is the fuel problem. You had to call and wait for a fax... to be able to get fuel. That worked for a while. Then a lot of Gas stations did not except that anymore... In the meantime the direct deposit did not work out, so we got only part of the money deposited the following Monday and the rest supposed to come with a check. Well that did not happen. The money was not there on Monday but then on Wednesday, due to the fact that my husband did call them and complained. Then we been told we get our checks mailed to us. Ok we got the check, deposited in our bank account and guess what the check bounced! My bank finally did send me a copy of the bounced check. They have been always one week behind since then on paying his paycheck. My husband also did bring 2 new drivers into the company and a 3rd was supposed to start next week. We told him not to; since the other 2 drivers my husband brought on board had their checks bounce as well. Between all this happening they did have the fuel problem fixed, that lasted if I remember right 2 weeks and now it is down south again. Due to the fuel problem now my husband is sitting without a load for 2 1/2 days now. It is Friday today. So if loads are slim on Fridays what is then with Wednesday and Thursday? Also if the turnover rate is so high then there is nobody to tell on what kind of problems, lies etc. are happening in this company. I know to well I worked for a Payroll/Accounting/Staffing firm. Where is there honesty and respect? Due you think you will receive different treatment then we experienced? Did we have anything to do with their incapability on running the company? NO! Did we make the company money? YES! So why should we have to deal with this and wait for our sour earned paycheck???? We are done with this company!

Tradewinds

I read your post and wanted to ask how long your husband was employed with Tradewinds? This company is not honest. Have you and/or your husband thought about taking the company to court for the money they still owe you? Even though you live out of state, if you could get someone to go to court for you(power of attorney), this person could go to bat for both of you.

I am telling you from first hand experience, I do know about Tradewinds. You are not the only people to have problems with this company. I do wish you luck with everything.
