HOw long did it take you to get into orientation? My application has been approved and the next class in June. It is first come first serve basis. I was told that there could be a cancellation.

I am ready to drive; I have my CDL and some OTR experience.

Thanks,

Thats not what I was refering to. It is extremely hot and stuffy in the top bunk without the AC on.

LOL its like a sauna up there, i had a trainer that would get cold during the night and woulds turn the ac off instead of down. I would yell and wake him up and he would laughand turn it back on.

Its all in your attitude. Just do what you are supposed to do and you'll be fine. A swift flatbed driver i met and was about to hang it up, said his trainer would tell him to wake him up when he got to a certain point in the trip and go to sleep. Rather than request a different trainer he put up with that for 3 weeks. Trainers get paid to do exactly that. If your trainer is not doing what her is supposed to do, they shouldn't be training new drivers.

Hello all, Sorry I have been trying to post from the road. It seams like only some of them make it on. Anyway, I'm doing good, I was on the east cost for the last 10 days, man the rain was bad! I have been treated just fine, it seams to be going good. We have out next load put on us before we are even 100 miles away from the load we just got, and most of our loads have been 1,200 miles or more. Please keep the post coming I do get them on my phone and If I'm able to post back I will, if not it will have to wait till I get home, like now. Thank you to all the have posted.

DarkHelmut, Keep on posting. I've been doing some heavy research on schools, and have been leaning toward Swift. Your experience and information will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks and good luck!

I must say it has not been bad at all, I have only 11 more days then I'm on my own. I have been n 29 states (rain in all) I got use to the sleeping in the truck (not moveing). I will say if you have little kids it WILL be hard on you and them and the wife, I was just home for 1 and 1/2 days the home time was great I miss them so.
