I'm still going to apply locally but until they decide to hire me then it's gotta be over the road. I'd rather make the same 300 a week with Pizza Hut or McDonalds but they haven't even called yet. Thanks for the help guys.

Even though you have never done flatbed I do recomend Tandem transport I worked for them for 3 1/2 years and the money is great. I never made less than 800 a week and that was in 1998. Money is much better now I bet. They will train you on what you need to know. This company will throw money at you and treat you with respect. If you want you will be home every weekend, if you decide to stay out weekends pay is much better. If you choose home weekends and get stuck out some where they give you an extra $100 for that week for expences and its in cash. I was only stuck out twice in 3 1/2 years if you request weekends home you will get there. I only left them because my Father passed away and I needed to go local to be closer to my Mother she is 83 and lives with us now. I do not think you will go wrong with them at all but it does take a lot of work to drive flatbed. You will lose a lot of sleep but make big bucks. After all its a long road and a little tire. Good luck.

Duke if you have Tanker and Hazmat endorsements, you might want to check out Eagle transportation Corp out of Rockeymond NC. They are gas haulers and who I work for. This is the peek of Gas Hauling season and am grossing 4 digits a week working 5 nights a week, home every day. Hope this helps
