Now more than ever, they have more GI drivers leaving since the Estes take over. Me being one. They are running teams from back east and running contractors to take up the slack of loosing drivers and not being able to hire drivers.

Re: Interstate's a decent place to be.

This is the company my husband is going with July 24th!
The company he is with now aren't with a dime!
When my husbands dad passed away they didn't say oh we can get you a plane ticket, they wanted him to deliver the load he had first then they were going to get him to another terminal to leave the truck and he would have to get a cab to the airport /bus station.
Then 2 months ago when my brother in law passed away he told them look I can't take off because we can't afford it but they just pulled the life support on my brother and when he passes I may need just a day to shut down , his dispatcher was like whatever, she didn't say oh I am sorry to hear that nothing just when will you be ready to roll again.
I can't wait until he leaves this F company I am so sick of their crap.
BTW the company he is with now that has no heart is NAVJAO out of Denver, CO.
DO NOT GO WITH THEM IF YOU CAN HELP IT!
They treat their drivers like crap and you will have a lot of down time at the dock, picking up and delivering!
If anybody ever ask tell them to stay far away from NAVAJO!

A short story involving Navajo

I have to tell a short story about Navajo trucking out of Denver.

First, understand that Denver and Salt Lake are separated by about 525 miles.

Anyway, I used to live in Salt Lake, and in my 8 years in that hell I saw many a Denver-area trucking company advertise in Salt Lake's newspaper help-wanted ads. One day I saw a Navajo ad in that paper and gave 'em a call. Navajo was a company I knew nothing about. I figured they had to have a terminal in Salt Lake, as no company would be so desperate they'd have to advertise every day of the world in a paper over 500 miles away, right?

Well, Navajo turned out to be that desperate. I gave 'em a call, and when I found out their nearest terminal was, in fact, in Denver, I had to ask: "Are you a reefer outfit?" When the recuriter told me his answer, I just hung up on him. That answer made it crystal clear as to what kind of an outfit Navajo was/is.

And day after day after day for the next year or more, I kept seeing that ad in the paper. I see nothing has changed when it comes to Navajo. Not even my vow to drop dead before going to work for them.

And that means one thing
It means she's slow
It's a typical company truck
It's just all show and no go

I'm gettin' passed by Yella
And even Overnite
I'm gettin' passed by ever' body in sight
46 days on the road
And I'm not gettin' home tonight

No, my hometown's nowhere in sight
And if you think I'm pissed off
You're right
46 days on the road
And I'm not gettin' home tonight

Love pissing off those trucking company insiders.

Let me guess. "Duh, what's a reefer?"

Well, it was ALMOST that ridiculous

It was almost that ridiculous, M. His answer wasn't just "yes", but a long-winded spiel about how Navajo was a "great, up-and-coming reefer outfit that cares for drivers first and foremost."

Uh-huh. The thought that I was talking to a recruiter 525 miles away after seeing a Navajo ad in the local paper made me slam the phone down on his *********.

This is laughable.. Navajo has been around for years and historicly has at least 85% reefers...Yup they have problems...
