Talk to drivers rather than recruiters. Ask what they DON'T like about their company. There's always somthing to gripe about, but if you're getting say $8 an hr but dealing with $20 an hr worth of B.S. it's time to go.
I picked Interstate after talkin to drivers from a bunch of different companys. What made my mind up was talkin to a driver recently back from an emergency.
One night, this driver got a message on his q-comm (He had no cell phone) "truck #1234 is on it's way to you now. He's got a cell phone you can use to call home. You've got an emergency goin on at home. He'll run you to the airport where there's a ticket for you. Don't worry about the truck or the load, we've got someone on the way to take care of it. Take as much time as you need. When you're ready, the truck'll be at (whichever) terminal.
This guy got home in time to see his father shortly before he passed away.

Would be helpful if you put an address with the mane, maybe link to a website. I did a quick search, and there are lot's of companies running around that have the name "Interstate' on their truck, yet you only mean one of them.

  7. Hi everyone, I'm new here. I'm currently on disability from Interstate and have some questions I'd like to ask you, Ranger andTurbo, about how your doing on miles, loads etc. I was having trouble getting pre-planned, alot of live load/unload with long waits, stuck in the NE etc. before I had to leave. I really like the company but it seems they are having some issues around 'growing' the business lately. I know 3 teams and 1 solo that have gone elsewhere in the last 6 months. Just wondering where you run and how you're doing.

    Thanks

To clear up some confusion, it's Portladdriver that works for Interstate....

Do you pull estes sets, and if you do how much more do they pay you than straight trlrs? I'm just curious I used to work for a company Estes bought out west and Interstate Dist. pulled the majority of our overload.
