| Problem? What problrm Quote:
Bottom line is this, Central is not going to change. Central is getting paid to have a high driver turn over rate. Every person that walks threw their doors needing training, already owes them 3k+. All the problems afore mentioned were going on when Lastkid was there, when I was there, and will continue to be there once everyone that's talking about them now have moved on. Don't take my word for it, in the future re-visit these pages about Central. This is what works for them. From the low pay to the 1500 mile loads with more time on them than what is needed, to having you sitting around waiting on loads, I know it's frustrating isn't it. As good of drivers as some of us are, and as good as some may think they are, don't be so naive to think that Central really cares about you. Sure, an f/m hates to loose a good driver because that's messing with his/her earnings potential, and they may miss u for a minute until another driver proves out. Wooh, you're gone and forgotten. That's what happens in the numbers game. And as for Central, we all are jus numbers. It doesn't matter how good you are. Move on. I'm with a dry van company now that pays 1.10 cpm and 100% fsc and drive 3200+ miles. Like I said MOVE ON. |

| The sad part is. Even with there issues. I would bet that they are still one of the top training companys in the business. Hey Jess. Why would it matter to Central where you went to school? If you went to there school, and your husband trained you, that is all fine and dandy. But to co-drive with him, you will have to leave Central and become his employee. Or does Central require you to go thru there course to even do that? I know that in Lease Teams, unless both peoples names are on the lease, the co-driver is not the employee of the leasing company. I have a hard time understanding how Central would be able to enforce a rule, that they must be an employee first of Central, than of the lessee. |

Besides the obvious MONEY. But they obviously have some big changes going on this year, Idle Policy, No students from other schools, No Pets even in Lease Trucks unless you were already on the Pet program. After everyone told me that Central was no longer taking students from Private Schools I stopped looking into getting my CDL.

| Jess, that seems very frustrating. Hey, Sixpack, I'm glad you are moving again and I hope you enjoy your hometime. Chrome, thank you for another insightful post. You are more informed than I am on the detention pay and such. Thanks for the info. Grjmill, I hope you are wrong about the company not changing. They gave me a job when I needed it, and I want the company to do well. I feel a real bond with many of the drivers here, and I want you all to have a good experience like I did. |

Glad Dragonmatrix is out with his trainer, Hope he was lucky enough to get a good one, not one who will use him to pay next weeks lease Payment. Now on a happier note, I sent JJ's Mustang out to be fixed yesterday, it needs a new exhaust system and the clutch probably needs adjusting as him and his Dad put a new one in it. (Hope gas prices lower some more before he gets home) and it stays warm as the Mustang is a Convertible.

| Over the last 4 weeks, I have phoned Central's recruiting dpt. 5 times. I left a brief message each time stating I have 10 years experience and name, number, etc. Not once did they answer the phone and not once have they returned my call. They are now off my list of possible companies to work for. Last edited by Quexos; 08.13.2008 at 10.15 PM. |
