Hello,
i just read your post & see that your husband has attended crsi. I was accepted to the school in Al & have a couple questions. I have asked my recruiter & they won't tell me what I want to know
I have a few questions about the school he attended. I was wondering what the process is about getting your license & also about process at Orientation? Did he attend the first 2 wks of training, then go to orientation. After orientation did he go get his license .
I was wondering about when they give you all the tests & when do you know if you are hired. I would greatly appreciate if you could help I start school in a month

Hello
This is in reply to your msg asking for information about Centrals school, My husband never went to there school, when we joined with them they didn't have a school at that time, he went to sage and I went national here in Spokane, so I am sorry that I can't tell you to much about there school , I can tell you that we both have been with them for 6 yrs and yes we have had our ups and downs but you will with any Co. you choose to go with In orentation it takes 3 days at the end of it you will get all your cards and such and as long as you pass the schooling and your back ground passes and you can pass there phy part of it you will be hired, I hope that I havn't confused you and sorry that I could'nt help you more. But just want you to know that as owner operators and team drivers we enjoy working with Central. thanks

Hi I just noticed that you said you were going to be attending school in Alabama for Crsi. I 'm supposed to be attending in jan 2008. I was wondering if you could tell me any info about the school? I have tried to talk to my recruiter about the school all I get is their voice mail also emailed them they never contacted me back. Would like to know what the whole schooling process is & where the accomodations are. Any info would be greatly appreciated
Thanks

hey everyone, sitting at home right now taking a few days off and hadn't been on here in a while. just a few things I want to say

i have been driving now for 6-7 months and i am averaging from 2000-3200 miles/wk and overall is not a bad company.

I do have to call every week to payroll or X-pay because they didn't pay me for something and my dispatcher and I hate each other so I have alot of problems with him, but I am getting a new dispatcher before I get back in the truck. Hopefully it will be alot better.

Yes, I found out my trainer just used me for the miles and didn't teach me alot of things I needed to know and I backed up 13 times in 4 weeks!!!! And after 24 days, he basically kidnapped me and forced me to go to NC and back so he could get 4000+ miles more in before I left.

The first few months after I went solo were rough as I didn't have any backing experiance and I slept on alot of on-ramps as I couldn't back into any spaces that didn't have alot of room to manuever, but that has changed thank god...LOL...

My computer, broadband card and slingbox have been great and been worth every penny

Tips for newbies

write down everything!!! you want a written record of all trip info any comcheck info and any issues that you report!!! That includes when you leave loadlocks in a trl you drop(load# and trl#) detention etc...

make copies of all bols, scale, lumper and toll reciepts etc... if they lose your trippaks it is hell to try and get paid without them, luckily I had made copies of everything...

check your paycheck, like I mentioned every trip they do not pay me for something...

well, HTH and hope everyone had a happy and safe holiday season, I will try and come on here more and contribute to the community, this place was really great when I started my career and I hope now with some experiance under my belt, I can offer some words of wisdom to others as alot of you did for me...

Does anybody know if they hire from Southwest Louisiana? And do you think it would be difficult getting my home time from that area?
