I am busy trying to stay out of a terminal right now.
Got a message from Fleet manager, not happy that my truck has not been turned down.
Dispatch is trying to get it done on the road, need to have volvo look at my codes anyway, think I have a bad egr valve. They cannot fix those at our terminals anyway.
I HATE HOLIDAYS>
I only asked for Saturday off, for a concert. Was not loaded again till tuesday because Kraft wanted the holiday off......
My advice, take holidays if you can. Thanksgiving I was out, sat for 2 days 320 miles from home.
On my way, possibly to the same wally world that JJ was talking about, Woodland PA.
I have a 2000 appt though, I will try and get that changed in the morning.
Bad week for miles on the Kraft fleet.

My Dad works for Central, he is and owner/op and he just had his go fast chip taken away from him because it was 3 mph over what they wanted, he averages 3900 miles a week, he likes his volvo that he leased, NATIONAL BEEF has had him wait for a week so he had a load home!

Yeah JJ has a few short hops this week, still moving but only 300-500 mile trips. Our Volvo was turned down at the GA Terminal last week I think. BUT they did fix all the other small problems she had which was good, the blowers actually work
in the Bunk now.
So Chromedome when are you heading to the Terminal to get her turned down LOL??????? I think you are one of the last standing with a company truck that does 65 mph or better
.

A made for TV movie ??
Hey Boys & Girls,
We could have a plot for a made for TV movie here ............
"CHROMEDOME ON THE RUN ..... RENEGADE TRUCKER REFUSES TO BE CORRALLED"
........ and, if successful, the franchise could have a very long life. "CHROMEDOME VII ... ON THE RUN IN BRAZIL" etc, etc,
Just brainstorming with this, feel free to add your ideas .......

Welcome, Rodeoman, I hope you will stick around. I"m glad your Dad is getting such good miles. He must be a team or a trainer, am I right?
I know about the short hops Jess-JuJu, but here is some good news:
Produce season is coming and that means lots more freight and much better runs.
Chrome, you must have an 08? It is almost to the point where we change the EGR valves with every second oil change. That is when its good to be a company driver.
Hang in there everybody-- we are getting into the best months for trucking.

Sorry Chrome, i am delivering in tobyhanna, Pa. I wish we could have met. As Jess said i got a good run to Ca after i deliver this one. My personal best was 3700 all legal. most weeks 3000. low side was 2400. I will stock up on the Windex. Right now it looks like a war zone on my wind screen and the front of my truck is no longer white. I even need to add washer fluid. I think chrome's first movie should be called CHROME DOME,ON THE RUN THEY WILL NEVER TAKE ME ALIVE. My movie should be called attack of the killer Volvo and bugs are it's victims. LOL.
I got pulled into a rest area just inside the PA line on I81 for what i liked to call a rolling inspection. It consists of a DOT Officer checking my tire tread depth while am driving by him at 5mph. what will they come up with next. it's a good thing i had two of the tires changed at the TA in VA this morning. I am looking forward to the long run coming up. Coast to Coast trucking is what i like the best. Sometimes i like it when the little voices tell me to drive all night.
well thats it for now i will post again soon. JJRanch.
