I am still getting good miles. I don't see any signs of downsizing, just a push to conserve fuel and idling.

Well I am about to head off for my cross country run, KillerB i will be going thru Lincoln on my way. I will have to take on fuel in Council Bluffs, Ia before the long 450 in Ne. I used to live in Omaha back in 94. The Qualcomm beeped to let me know i will be running thru some bad weather so this should make my trip alittle interesting. Hopefully i will run across some interesting things to post. Sometimes its pretty Entertaining. like a lift gate installed on the side of a truck because the driver is to large to climb the steps to get into a truck. or today i saw a Boxer tied to the side of a USF Glenn truck and it liked everyone who came by to pet it but its own owner. I guess he was mad at him for tying him to the truck. I am not positive but i could have sworn that the dog hiked his leg and peed on the drivers leg while he wasn't looking. or like the male Werner Student who held up a sign saying help me i am being raped by a fat sweat trucker who craps his pants while in training. well the student thing never happend but you never know what you will see. I guess that is what keeps driving now days kinda interesting. ok thats it for me time to hit the big road. JJRanch.

Well, I am stuck in Erie for the night.
The truck was turned down, and I had them check the other issues.
I was correct. An EGR valve is bad. They had the part in, but in order for Volvo to cover under warentee, they had to use a particular install kit, which was not in stock. So I am here till about 1400 tomarrow. I should still be able to deliver in Aurora on time Saturday though.

The other issue ended up being a minor air leak in my anti lock break splitter on the back of the tractor. This our OTRM dept, decided that since it was not a major leak could not be fixed here and are asking that I be routed to a terminal for the repair.
I hope to hold off on this till the end of the month, when I will be leaving the truck at Conley for 6 days, while I fly to the beach for a break in the sun and sand.

But since the truck is in the shop, I could not sleep in it. So I have a nice hotel room, with a clean shower and a big bed, and TV all to myself for the night on Centrals tab.
