One suggestion my dad has for the new drivers is MAKE friends with all the planners you can, if you want big miles it will help epically for owner/ops for the money. he has a bunch of friends that are planners and he gets 3900 miles a week and a good day

I said, "No sir. If I am going to work for a person then I want to look him in the eye and shake hands with him."

We met, shook hands, and we always got along great after that.

Sixpack, I know you well enough that I think you would have done the same thing.
I have to say your on the mark LastKid I will meet my D/M by hook or by crook because thats what men do a handshake and a Nice to meet You says a great deal about a person and also shows his or hers sincerity its a way to show respect and earn it in return.
There may be a problem now and then but the chances are better in the work'n out dept. then if you have never meet that person.

Putting a face with a voice does go ALONG way. Nothing beats a handshake either.
I just got off the phone with Courtney from Central and I am good to go. Need to go pick up my bus ticket today. Leave Sunday...Whooo Hoooo
