Well....I am back home. I just could not be gone from my family for as long as it seemed they wanted. maybe some other time. I knew going in there were no "guarentees" in the trucking life, I was just hoping for more than they could give me.......No hard feelings.

now for my experience at the academy:

VERY, VERY nice people. I have NEVER felt so at home as I did there. The faucilties were about what I expected. Not bad but not great. the good news is you are only in your room to sleep. There is plenty of other stuff to do. passed the physical and the strength tests with no problem, Driving record and backround check as well (guys were dropping like flies). Lost 4 guys our first day and 2 the second. the 3rd day we took the pre tests and they were easier than I expected. If it was the real thing I would have passed right there .

I wish everyone there and here the best of luck. It was a good experiance , I just wish it could have worked out better for me. I would still highly recommend Central to anyone. Thanks for all the support

The Pete is getting better fuel mileage then we expected held 7.0mpg for a while and its now back to 6.7 which still isn't to bad for a new Truck.
Anyway time for me to do some work I have a heap of stuff I have to package up and ship out.

Its pretty hard to accept. It was one of the toughest decisions I have ever made. I wish it could have worked out differently but its time to move on.

It's good hearing aobut your travels. Did you folks go through their school? How would you rate that experience? Are you L/O or O/O or company drivers?

I am sorry to hear it didn't work out KillerB Its not for everyone. Being away from family is very hard! John and I found it hard when he was having his refresher with Central, he was gone six weeks.
We hope you will still call in and say Hi some times.....and let us know how you are doing.

Hi Dbook, We are L/O. JJ my Fiance went through there school and was a company driver for a few months (He already had his CDL just hadn't driven in six years ) For him the experience was good.......he got an excellent trainer who is now a good friend and Mentor for us.
So far Central have been good to us, We get pretty good miles, some weeks better then others but its the same with whatever company your with .......Gotta take the good along with the bad. No company is perfect but there not to bad
