Hi Becci, Sorry I'm not really into Cats. Reno was pretty warm during the day but cooled down of a night.......We are now in Portland waiting on JJ to pick up some hours.

We are spending some time with JJ's Dad and Mom which is great the Laundry is all done and the Truck is shinning.

I have been with them for 4months, including 1 month in the truck with a trainer....I got lucky, I had an exellent trainer, he was laid back and a company driver so he was less worried about the miles than the owner op trainers. I drove 13k miles durring training, and had a very positive experiance.

The first month I was in my truck, I averaged only 2000miles a week, but after my f/m got to know me and realized I can handle it and do the job right, I have been getting 2700-3200miles a week, with my lowest weeks being when I go home obviously.

If you can do the work they will keep you busy, If you constantly f-up they will boot you, they cant have people messing around with 100k in equipment and more importantly the customers product.

This being said, they do have their problems, but what company doesnt. I like them and will probably become a trainer when my experiance allows.

Hey, that 1 month in the truck with the trainer, doesn't count towards your seniority. That gives them an extra month to charge you for your schooling. Also, they get an 1 more month of obligation from you that they get to drive the s@#^% out of you with hardly having to pay you anything. Have you ever given any thought to how much Central gets for 1 of those 40k plus loads you're putting in the time, sometimes sleep depraved time, to deliver on time. This message is from 1 of those whom you referred to as a scumbag.

Earthbrown has not been with Central for quite some time now. That is a very old post.
But from a current central driver I will say this.
I have looked at many of the training company's, and central pays much better than most of them. The starting rate at central is = to the pay at the end of the first year at swift, usa, and others.
Many wannabe drivers do not have the money to pay up front for a school, and/or don't have an accredited school in there area they can attend. So they have a choice of paying allot of money for a room ect. at a school away from home for a few months, or go to a company mill.

I have seen some high quality drivers come from training company's. I have also seen some drivers I do not care to share the road with. Some of these due to there driving ability, and some due to there attitude.
Since you refer to yourself as a "scumbag" i suppose you are one of these.

Just because a driver does not stay with there starting company does not mean allot. The grass is always greener, and maybe they will get lucky and find a company next that fits them better. So far for the most part Central is an ok fit for me. I am sure I could find better, but I am ok for now.

Also, on the year thing. You can have your bonuses added to your payments and get it paid off before the year is up. The commitment is not really for a year, it is for paying off the loan. But the portion they pay (30 something a week) will be paid for the full year. So if you leave before the year you will be paying a little more.

Most of us who post on this Forum only post about how we find Central!
As Chrome said in his post Earthbrowns post is old and he doesn't even work for Central anymore.

A company that suits some drivers may not suit another. My Fiance and I are L/O and so far we have NOT had any major problems with Central.
