Hey, Sixpack and Strnman, that Henderson yard is a dump, so please don't judge our whole state on that yard. Colorado is really a beatiful state except for the Henderson yard.

By the way, I don't know how you are coming in or out, but if your route takes you down I-25 then when you get to exit 240 (20 mins north of Denver) then look east about 2 miles. You should be able to see my barn from there.

Stay safe, and hope to meet you soon,

Lastkidpicked, Simon (Central) tractor 1357

Hey Lastkidpicked, you're right about the yard..kinda out in the middle of nowhere with nothing around..lol. Anyway we are going to be coming in off of I-76, coming from Illinois. Just dropped a load off in Minooka and picking up a load in Rochelle in the morning. Should be out there tommorow night sometime and hopefully they'll let us drop the load, otherwise gotta sit on it til Thursday morning..not really wanting to do that.

So happy since leaving central!!!! Was a good starter company, but now I am making 2 times the money I was at central.

No bull hunting down detention and layover pay...that used to TICK me off, or the unusual send me 1500 miles away from my house 2 days before time off.

Or my favorite....

"We cant find a load in your area to get you home"

Well a year or more ago they had town and state on the broker board, having been there for a while it was easy to know what shipper, on 4 different trips home I was told no freight, and then found a load on the broker site that they gave me.

A few weeks b4 I left the broker board(online) went to simply stating the state, which made it harder to figure out.

Now I am never more than 300 miles from home, have 2 days off, and home a few nights a week...plus I will probably make 85k, which is not quite double, but after a year in this job it is WAY less hassle than OTR box freight.

That's quite the hassle. So's having ot deadhead 200+ miles to get home from a load, or go pick up your next one after time off.

first time home with them, they had me pu a load in Georgia, take it home to buffalo, and then deliver it to maryland after my HT....pretty stupid. Had to fight but got paid for the 1000 miles I had to drive extra.

Yea, I live in Jamestown NY, south of you. I noticed that allot when trying to get home before I went dedicated. I was always dropping at Solon and deadheading, or others, down in Southern PA, Syracuse, ect.
Now that I am on Dedicated I always get loads to Avon to get home.
They are going to irritate me again this weekend though, I can see it happening. Just gave me 3 loads, all over the place after I unload tomarrow. When I know of 2 that would have worked allot better, that I know are there.
So I had to tell him it would not work.
Now I had to accept one of them, and since planner left I am stuck with a run around. Going nowhere.
It would have been 3000 miles between Thursday morning and Monday morning. Barely possable. With the load and unload times factored in though, it is not possable.

Man, I poke my head in here and all I can hear is crickets.

***Looks around, whistles, digs toe in dirt, looks around again***

I hope its quiet in here because you are all running so hard that you don't have time to post.

If that is the case, then keep up the good work keep running hard.

Once you slow down, give us an update on how you are doing. Good luck to you all!
