Yep, after about 2 years of fighting it, I had to take a plea bargain deal. I had spent every penny on my lawyer and posting and reposting bond every time they refiled as stall and bully tactics. It was a misdemeanor to start with but the court was so offended that I had the gall to try and have a trial rather than just confess that they eventually refiled as a felony to up the ante. I was about to lose my job, house, and everything else. American justice at work! He who has the most money and time wins. I am aware that me saying I didn't do it means absolutely nothing as long as it's on my record. However, I've found the only way to do ANYTHING anymore, like rent an apartment or get a job is to find someone who will listen to my side of the story and can be sympathetic to it.

Anyway, I am going to tell them about it up front. I would not want to waste my time or theirs by traveling all the way to the school only to be sent packing after they find out, and they will. I have my own DAC report already and it is on there. It's all that is on it.

I checked on expungement. It was Texas, the only state I know of in the Union that has no way to clean it up short of playing golf with the Governor himself. Just my luck. I located and contacted an attorney there who specializes in that sort of thing years ago. After reviewing my case, he said it was sound and that I would most likely win and get the conviction overturned, but that there was no way I could afford it. He didn't even have to ask me how much I could afford. IE: If he didn't know my name from my celebrity status, there was no way I had the money it would take. Ouch!

As Smadronia pointed out, there are trailers that we can't find. Do yourself a favor and get a list of trailer numbers and keep them in your truck. Last time I checked, Central was paying $500 for a found trailer. If you are sitting around bored waiting to be loaded or unloaded, then why not check the trailers against your list? Pretty easy money. Tape the list to your visor and maybe you can make an easy $500!

From what I understand, Central won't hire with a felony. The only company I know that considers people with felonies is England, but I'm not 100% sure.

I was going to suggest looking for expungement, but I see you've already looked into that, so I'm not sure what to tell you.

I do echo what ChromeDome said though, Central's very, very thorough with a background check, so don't go and hope it'll not show up. It'll land you in a terminal for orientation and once they find out, you'll be without a way home.

That's a good announcement to make, and something people should keep in mind. I had a friend who kept all the lost trailer numbers stuck to her visor. I always wanted to get a copy of it, but by the time I asked for them she'd quit the company.

I'll get with my fleet manager and check the macros to see what I can do to see if they'll pay for a found trailer, and let everyone know. I don't know anyone who's actually found one before (at least not that I talk to face to face).

I believe it is in the 50's. Just do what I do. Hit create message and the 5, then 1, 2, 3...ect. deleting the second number after you see what the mac is.
There is one for lost and stolen equip, and one for found, I believe.

Your DM should know, and if they are good would have done it for you already. If not they will let you know how to do it.

I have a copy of the list in my truck also, they sent a mac with the current ones last week. I dont think it is a full list though. Some of these have been missing for 4 years++, that are on the full list.

I have a good idea where 2 are, I just have not been there to check with the list on hand. One I know had to be on the list, but I told someone about it and doubt it is there anymore.

Many of these are in Thermo King shops. They get left there for repair and not picked up. The older trailers dont show a location on there tracking program unless they are hooked to a truck.

I didn't even think about that macro. I did call my DM and he said he'll look into it, he'd never had someone find a trailer before. So, he's looking into it, I'll file a macro when we get the truck out of volvo.

You have a good point about missing trailers being at TK repair shops, there's a rail trailer down by Volvo that I'm wondering if they know where is.

I didn't get a list of missing trailers, any idea who to ask specifically for a list? I'd keep it handy if I had it. I guess a lot of the 533s and lower went missing when Dick Simon became Central.

I know several rail trailers are missing. They took the 52 series trailers off the current list, I remember that. For the trailer you have seen though, just jot down the number and send in a message checking. It cannot hurt.
They go onto the missing list after being disconnected from a truck for 60 days or so.
All they have then is the last known location. Unless the driver dropping it fills out all macros, in the case of dropping at a TK dealer, they need to send a mac 19 (I think) which is a drop/ hook mac.

I have gone thru all the macs a few times though, just to see what is there. It is something to do when bored. Many are not used, but there are others that are nice to know about.

If you don't mind my asking, how long have you been with Central and what did you do before this?

I think they go onto the missing list faster than that. When I was contacted, it was under 40 days. I don't remember if it was 32, 34, or 37 days, but he gave me the number, and it was well under 60 days.

I suspect that with all the other things going on in the last few months, Central's keeping closer track of the things that cost them money. And trailers are expensive, so finding the lost ones means there's that much less to replace. If they replace them.

The only lost trailer list I've seen from Central had numbers from 531 and higher. I saw it over a year ago I'm guessing. I've never seen a trailer lower than 532 with a Central logo, so I'm guessing some of them were sold off, lost, or stolen before I joined the company.
