I started my job this past monday. Well its almost a week and so far its great. OK, I know its only one week so no one has to tell me to wait till 6 months. Anyhow, They treat you good, no BS. Dispatch you every night around 4 to 6 PM for the next day. Oh, PAPCO TRANSPORTATION out of Bridgton NJ, we haul propane, butane. I haul Propane. I keep the truck, its a Peterbuilt with a sleeper. Shes an oldie but a goodie! I avarge 10 to 12 hours a day. I pick up in Linden NJ (right now) and deliver up state NY ( where I live). Im paid hourly and loving it. Right now home every day and weekends off. This will all change in the winter. But what a way to live, drive a big truck for a good company, home every night, paid by the hour. They pay O/T after 52 hours. You get paid straight time for the 52. What else can I tell you's, HUMMM. Im sure you have questions and or comments. So go ahead and shoot!

What are you making, minimum wage?
-
how did you manage getting that little sweet job friend

Depending on what they pay you an hour, you might be losing money. If you work 5/10 hour days, you're getting hosed. No overtime until 52 hours? 12 hour days would help but that only equates to 8 hours of overtime pay when you worked 60 hours in one week. Not telling you to quit with the way the economy is but this sounds like the employer makes out in this deal a little to much.

Yeah but isnt the whole part of owning youre own business to make money. You cant be paying youre employees just to break even you got to make money off of them.
