well i left on monday afternoon( labor day) i was home friday morning...ran 2600 miles and i am warped, this company has kept me moving so far i ben here for 2 full weeks now and i havnt sit at all waiting for a load, as soon as i get empty they send me a new load, some are drop and hook wich we all like, i live in cambridge ohio so i like to run east coast( except for newark jersey and new york city)..ive been to newark once and havnt been to nyc, i dont think they go to nyc, but the #### trucks are just to slow 61 mph, that sux but i topped that mountain in dallas pike doing 55 mph with 41000 pounds, dunno how that happend, im guessing the auto shifts must have more horsepower or somthin, cus i am always topping hills heavy and passing everyone, its the only time i get to pass anyone, lol

I hope this isn't a dumb question, but how do you pronounce their name, is it pronounced "Pole" or what. I'm interested in working for this company but would first like to get their name right.

    Thanks,
    Jpat

When I worked there, which has been 8 or 9 years ago, you did not. They had to be kept at the yard each weekend when you got in but I think they might let you take them home now but not 100% sure.

well i guess ive been here about 2 months or so..and the dispatchers seem like ########, if u call them and ask them what your next load is they act like its such a huge deal and they act like u are bothering them...kinda ridiculous..not very friendly, they give u a 900 mile run and tell u to be there tomorrow morning,or they might give u a 75 mile run and tell u to be there tomoorw night, so if u are going by your house to drop and hook u wanna know what the next load is gonna be so that way u know rather to stay home for the night or haul butt to get there and grab the next one..but i guess that its not any of the drivers business on what his next load is...i hate to say t but once again i think im gonna be looking for a new job. u never get to the terminal to get logbooks, or blank efc checks, or anything else that the company should provide, and when u call to have the stuff mailed to your home they want you to explain why, this company was ok my first couple of weeks but now im starting to see some negative things here...monday i wake up at 4 am to take my load to pennsylvania and drop it there, well my next load didnt pick up till tuesday morning at the same exact place i just dropped...well why not i live my house on monday afternoon and then drop take my break and then hook to the next load............and this happens every week...so i call them to see what my next load is gonna be before i leave so that way im not sitting around an entire day waiting.. and i always seem to get this real ###### attitude from the dispatchers..i dunno starting to think all companies work the same way , losing faith in this industry big time:biggrin_2552:

company has a dispatcher name rick..trotal #######..treats every driver ive talked to like trash..anytime u have a problem with a load or somthing u cant do...he will tell u that u arent a real trucker and driving isnt for u..even if it is a 900 mile trip that u pickup todayat 5 pm and have to deliver at 8 am....this company treats drivers like they are puppets, i wouldnt reccomend anyone working here unless u are soft spoken and u can handle being slapped in the face by some f4g dispatcher who thinks hes god..i put my 2 weeks notice in yeterday because i dont feel like i should have to run illegal to get home saturday and then be expected to leave on a sunday to deliver a load on monday..sorry but this is 2009 and people wanna be home with the familly a little bit..especially after running 3000 miles..but thats just to much to ask for with pohl transportation, and how dare some truck driver wanna get by the house once through the week..and with this company they intentionally keep u from running by your house, just so u cant get home, and thats not a lie its the truth, terrible company
