Rick used to be pretty good guy when I worked there. He drove for quite a few years before going into the office and he was always super easy to get along with. I never once got asked or told to run illegal when I worked there but that was also almost 9 yrs ago. I know they have grown alot since then so maybe they forgot what it was all about like everybody else.

ya man the guy is a prick and im a pretty easy guy to get along with but he just acts like he cant wait to offend and insult people..like its one of those things he looks forward to in a day...i dunno but im under my last load now i gave em my notice, and got shafted for the entire last week i was there..sit around and ran nothing but short runs on the east coast, but its ok, i will drop my load on sunday morn and then bobtail to their yard and be done..start a new job monday, i am gonna start pulling dump buckets, the company im going to work for is gonna train me to do it..its somthing ive been wanting to do for a long time but noones ever willing to hire someone wth no experience, i am really nervous about it though as i have heard u can tip them over while dumping, and i dont wanna do that, but as far as pohl goes..i guess if u wanna run all week and run illegals as heck , and get home on saturdays and leave sundays then they would be ok to work for..when i say run illegal..im not kiding...pohl is having probs with their safety rating because of the fact that drivers keep getting busted with bad logs..its impossible to even log anything legal because of the way they run you, i dont care who u are.if u have a 60 mph truck, and u pick up a load at 2 or 3 pm...theres no way u can have that load 800 miles down the road and delivered by 7 am...and also have a 10 hour break in by 7 so u can go get the next load, wich must be picked up asap or they wont load you....and its somthing that happens a lot at this company..but myself i kinda like to run that way im only 28..but heck sometimes i even find myself dozing off at the wheel and running on the rumbles ,and then everyday on the ather system ya get fleet messages saying to log it legal...lmao..o well

I worked there back in '03. Good people, older trucks, all automatic and a ton of Northeast freight. Thats where I live so no bubbles, no troubles. They were always fair, and pretty good to work for.

Anybody still there? Just wondering, I'm thinking about going back to them.

I can say from my experience at Pohl, and the drivers that I know that are still there, Pohl is still a great company. Harold, Brian, and David really care about the drivers there. I'd still work there but I wanted to go west. You're not making a mistake with Pohl. Ten years after I left, I still think they are one of the best.

I work for Pohl now and I seem to sit a lot. They also wont pay me the detention pay that I should have got for a mistake their dispatch made. I'm supposed to get $10.00 per hour but they only want to pay me $4.11 per hour. What a joke. That's a nice way to treat a new driver.
